Advice on vintage 16014

Hi all. This is my first post. I am in the market for a vintage Rolex for my wife for her 40th birthday. I am looking specifically for 1978 mfd. This is my first time buying a vintage watch, so I want to avoid a big mistake. Right now, this watch is my favorite:

Rolex DATEJUST EDELSTAHL / WEISSGOLD 750 GILT DIAL / GLANZBLATT (listed on chrono24. I can't post the direct link as I don't have enough previous posts on this forum)

A couple questions:

Is Chrono24 a reliable source? Is their asking price reasonable? The seller tells me that the black dial with silver markings is rarer than the black with gold markings and that the dial alone is 2,000 EUR. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!
