Black, blue, salmon...

Well just got to see the 2 big PP novelties, well for me that is, really nice, on looks I prefer the 5740, but if I had the cash the 5270 is surely the one to get. Plus a 5316, my unattainable grail watch. Enjoy the pics.

Some grails there. But for me the 5270p is very hard to beat, especially with that salmon dial.

As much as I love the nautilus line, the 5740 almost seems a bit too crammed

Nice pics, mate, a banner year for PP I think, two phenomenal releases for both sport and dress customers.

One quibble with the 5740: I feel the font on the subdials is a little too bold and blocky for the watch. Or maybe I’m just looking for an excuse to keep the wallet in the pocket!

No Aquanaut chrono?... you are slipping man. You need to feed us on our daily dose of sports watches, the 5740 is technically, but its still pretty formal looking

I was looking at that too and this is the new bolder, modern font I believe so it's OK by me. Altho maybe an extra 1mm size might have helped with this and the busy dial if you are looking for reasons to keep your money shut down.

Oh no when you see it in real it’s really great, very readable dial and just very p’easing overall feeling

Exactly my thoughts, 2 perfect watches in their own segment

Well if I had the funds, which I don’t, my heart would tell me the 5740, but my head would say the 5270P, not sure it will acheive the status of the 5970P among collectors, but for me it is amazing, P version of their PCC, plus salmon dial, hopefully they won’t overproduce, surely the watch to get for those who can, it’s not often you have something like this, whereas the 5740 is just a new Nautilus but with a new comp in G, so sure I am more attracted to Nautilus models, but they are really at different levels IMO

Well if you want to keep the wallet in the pocket I suggest not going to try it on, really great watch

Haha well I am not a fan of simple chronos, and I just wanted to show the 2 favorites from this year, plus my grail watch, unattainable for me, the 5316P, Since these 2 are the most interesting for me, the Aqua chrono is nice if you love chronos and Aquanauts, but not something I would consider, even if it was not at 38k, which for me is a little nuts

Haha well enamel was invented before emails were, so it wouldn’t bother me, but maybe that’s because I am French

As far as I know it’s not, but if there is a lot of demand it will surely go to the best clients of AD’s, like usual, mine told me the 5270 would probably be easier to get than the 5740, because of the higher demand for sport watches, plus quite cheaper, though for 165k CHF, which is 20 more than the gold 5270, I think the 5270 is not overpriced

It’s a sports perpetual calendar, thicker font to improve visibility under duress.

Ha! Then it needs a ceramic bezel, too!

Can’t imagine a Nautilus with black ceramic bezel, but grey cermet bezel would be very cool I think, but hard to imagine them doing it, but you never know I guess

Thanks arnaud! Really two great high dollar options this year. I would take the nautilus but only because I don’t have money to burn. In that case 5270 all day.

Great pics Arnaud! I would take 5740 as the blue is really vibrant and love the 240 mvmt. As for the 5270P a bit big for Me and pricey but I do have a Salmon bias LOL! As for the MR it just kills me when I see these Retrograde PCs and the leap year indicator just runs right through the 15-16-17 on the date indicator. It is an inexcusable design flaw IMO.

Same here, the Nautilus is acheivable price wise, the 5270 is already harder

Yes I agree they did a bad job on that, but the watch is still amazing despite that design flaw. About the 5740 what does bother me but it is a constant with PP, is the lack of new movement, at that price I would have liked to see a new caliber, not the 240, which I love, on which they added the comp, too bad as it takes away some of the prestige for me, but seems it’s their general policy, as is most well seen on the 5524, same caliber on the 42 and 38mm versions...
