Very happy with the service. I doubt RSC in Sydney Australia still support this model and even if they do would have been a lot more expensive by the time they changed out all parts for new!

I sent an OQ to Dallas because the AD wouldn't touch it. I DID use the AD for the SD and it was nice to deal directly with the guy doing the work. I didn't want any polishing and was able to tell him so.

I had the bezel insert replaced and even got the old one back. It has a slight scratch.

Another vote for Rikki

My Mom and Dad have both used Rikki at timecareinc, they were extremely happy.

He's currently working on a DD for my Dad, I can't wait to see the results!

Rikki just did a super job on my Explorer I. Turnaround was about three weeks, but a couple new gears had to be obtained - well above and beyond the standard spa visit. Hes a great guy to deal with and is going to get some more work from me in the near future.

I have just had my 1680 Red Sub serviced by William Rice, I would recommend him without hesitation.

In London try Stephen Hale Watch Restoration, but be prepared to pay more than for Bill Rice.

Time Care Inc: Rikki. He does an awesome job and he's really open about the technology and his techniques as you will find in my regulation thread and countless others he chimes in on.

I've had him service 2 Submariners and he's done a fantastic job at a very reasonable price whilst still coming in under most other peoples turn times. Plus, he's actually a great guy.. it's rare to find someone with that kind of ability that is down to earth.

We are an Authorized Rolex Jeweler, and one with a Rolex trained watchmaker with CMW21 certification. Rolex inspects our store and requires equipment be complete to properly service the Rolex watches. If you send your watch to Rolex NY or Rolex Dallas, if the production is slower at Dallas, your watch may be serviced in Dallas even if you sent it to NY. We have been a AD for 60+ years and have had very few problems with Rolex service. Like all of us, we make a mistake sometimes. Rolex is the safest place to send your watch unless you have intimate knowledge of the watchmaker. See if your watchmaker is inspected by Rolex, that would be an indicator of their competence. Our in-house service is at 5 weeks.

I seem to have more watches at watchmakers than home.

4 sent to Rikki around Feb. Parts only available for 2. Waiting on the other 2
2 sent to Bob Ridley with go ahead in Feb. Waiting
4 repaired by classicwatch.com's Zaf. Turn around I think a couple of weeks
1 to Chopard. 2.5 month turn around. Runs like a champ.
2 at the Jewelry Doctor in Vienna, VA. Waiting
MANY to Herndon Clock and Watch in Herndon, VA. 5 or so back in 2 weeks. He still has 2 of mine I need to check on. Poor man is swamped for the summer.

To be totally fair, the ones I am waiting on are VERY old, as in turn of the century. I think the youngest one is from the 1930s. Still, the wait is painful.

Sent mine to Rik and I got it back today and it looked like a brand new watch. We were in Florida a week ago and thought of driving it to his place and it was an awesome opportunity to meet him in person, very pleasant and very knowledgeable. I could not imagine sending it anywhere else.
