CHNR on Jubilee...

Hi Guys,

I recently picked up a BLNR on jubilee and absolutely love it- so much more so than the oyster in fact. I also have a CHNR on oyster.

Is there any jubilee bracelet from the range that would fit the CHNR, that has rose gold centre links? I know a couple of DJ41's have jubilee and rose, so would that fit?

Oh- and before everyone says dont do it... I'm only pre-empting what Rolex is probably going to do this year or next with the way they're going with the GMT's, as we've seen with the BLNR's.

Thanks!
David

DJ41’s have a 21mm lug width so will not fit. I’m guessing a DJ36 jubilee in steel and rose gold would fit but not sure which pins you’d need.

Here's a pic, not sure where I saved it from.

The bracelet that might fit would be the 63601 RG SJ (36mm Datejust) but not sure of the spring bars to be used as the 2.0 mm that come on the CHNR will not fit the SJ endlinks. (might cost a pretty penny too)

Wow! Yes, that's exactly the look!

I definately think this watch can pull this off.

Further investigation needed...

I agree, let us know what you find out. I will try to get a quote for the bracelet price up here in Canada. (but know it will be a lot ... it's Rolex

Wow, the CHNR on jubilee looks killer. IMO this reference can pull off the jubilee much better than the new BLNR

It’ll fit as the photo shows. Silly these SJs aren’t offered as an option.

Ok, someone please give me a good explanation here. Rolex fanbois tout that a Rolex is a "tool watch" and the GMT certainly fits that category. So why would someone want a "tool watch" on a dress bracelet like a jubilee? It makes zero sense to me.

The OP stated that the SJ was more comfortable than the Oyster bracelet. I must agree, the SJ feels great on the wrist.

Well, again, GMT/YM/Sub/etc are supposed to be "tool watches", not necessarily aimed at being the most comfortable. That said, I have two on oyster and one on jubilee, cannot say I find one more comfortable than the other.

Did you miss the part where Rolex decided the S/S GMT Masters should be on jubilee bracelets?

The CHNR being TT is even less of a tool watch

I totally agree that its not, which I do not understand. And then to go one step further with TT and then jubliee is even worse.

GMT is a good tool watch for commercial airline pilots, I can totally see them wear both TT and jubilee. Whereas for Sub it doesn’t fit.

It looks great and is arguably more comfortable than the oyster. It's not like it is less durable so what's not to like? Rolex should give buyers the option for 1. oyster, 2. jubilee, and 3. oysterflex. I'd get them all and see no reason why it would be a problem for Rolex. With high margins on the straps and bracelets Rolex and ADs would make an even greater killing.

Its a dress bracelet and not the least bit sporty. A dress bracelet on a utility/sport watch. Sorry, I just don't get it but fine if some do. I just do not understand the logic of them being intertwined. Its a confusing combination of sport and dress. To me, jubilee belongs on a dress watch.

CHNR is IMO the one GMT that can pull off both oyster and jubilee bracelets
