Never liked the Hulk IRL. This is what I saw at the AD 4 years ago, the wrong kind of green, so I passed.

All the beautiful pictures we see around are taken under specific lighting conditions or with filters on, which is not what the watch looks like IRL most of the time. With a dark emerald green dial it can look stunning, but it can also turn into a vivid metallic green which I find too green and very off-putting.

Female here - one of the reasons I bought the Hulk was the Emerald appearance. Lol
Also, my birthstone color. Admittedly, most positive comments out in public have come from females. Not sure why...

I’ve not seen the Cermit so can not comment; however when I did see the Kermit years ago the bezel reminded me of an avocado (putting flame suit on - lol).
The picture I’ve attached is a perfect example of love/hate reasons. Gorgeous dial; milky bezel.

Love the new case, just can’t get into the black and green. I don’t have either but given a choice I would get the hulk. Now if the 12 goes back to the green dial in the future, 100% getting it.

The kermit is way too stark for me - green bezel slapped on a black dial. Hulk is more cohesive and interesting.

She is the best LV of the line. The last in historic 40mm format whatever we think or say. I think it's to be kept, it will make auction records in several years, you just have to give time to time.
There will always be people to say "it's too green" when you have to go out 25-30 or even 40K to get it!
Oh, well if you have said it several times then it must be true.

I think the winner would be new case 12 series, green dial and bezel but in the style and shade of the BB58 blue. Just a neutral mild mostly matte green with white accents and keep it simple and classy

I always preferred Subs sans date and was never a Hulk fan, just too much green. I do like the new Kermit more and enough to purchase at msrp only. If not then I would and may just put my money on an anniversary 16610LV.

Kermit > Hulk > Cermit

I think the Hulk is far superior the new Cermit. There is just something special about the sunburst green dial which looks black at certain angles. The new Cermit is just a black sub with a green bezel. Sunburst black would have been cool.

New Cermit is just a sub w green bezel.

As far as I am concerned the last 2 iterations were 'unique' and were more than 'just a sub'. I dont feel that the new Cermit should be compared because of this.

The Hulk Looks Strange Lately...

One of the great characteristics of the Hulk for me is that it’s a chameleon.... sometimes green sometimes black depending on light...

I have owned a hulk before and I think it really is an interesting and beautiful watch. it is a difficult watch to photograph . Looking at the photos the watch looks different in each picture. In person it may have a different effect on you. It is a watch I wish I still owned.

The 116610LV and I have a unique relationship. Many years ago I thought they were silly. Then it started to grow on me and I got one from my AD. I wore it for a couple of years and slowly lost interest in it. I sold it (back before they were going for crazy prices). And then it hit me. I’d see them online and I’d get so sad. They all of a sudden looked awesome again. And I gravely missed it. I was lucky enough to get a mulligan from my AD and I can assure you this one will never leave the collection!

I agree..Love my Hulk and never thought I would until I saw it in person. And most of the time when you look at the dial it looks black anyway unless you are in bright sunlight and then it has a nice rich emerald look..A Kermit and a Hulk rolled into one.

Black subs are boring to me,had a few and sold them (everyone has one) The Hulk is unique and I don't see many around and I like that..I have also spent a lot of time on and around the ocean and the water a lot of the time looks a shade of green to me,so the green sub works.

You can go to a trusted AD and get any Rolex you want. Can’t say the same for AP. The ones I want are completely unattainable.

Don’t disagree, was
Just thinking of it the standard AP SS... 15400, 15450, 15500... I’ve seen all of these avail this week for huge premiums just like the LV
