smart con man will move on to next target once he is exposed, as soon as seller called him out, he moved on.
why get caught for easy money over a one watch. nice job on getting your watch back and same bank deposit scam goes on every day, use wire transfers/ paypa/ebayl and deal with sellers with history on watch forums unless you can afford the risk. |

This is all classic sociopath behaviour - and I speak from some experience -
This is a link to a guy I considered to be my oldest brother growing up - he spent weeks at our house on Cape Cod every year, escorted my sister to her coming out ball, and was one of my dearest friends growing up and when I lived in NYC. Here's his wanted poster: http://www.seminolesheriff.org/en-us...f_ses=glnlogog He stole from his father, brother, law partners, his maiden aunt (90 - took every dime she had), and the Gambino Crime Family (paid them back). He approached me with a story about "distressed annuities" suggesting that I invest $100,000 - and I turned him down while mentioning that I had heard of a similar scam when I was with Merrill Lynch. It was our last conversation. He disappeared 10 years ago with between $20,000,000 and $40,000,000 - Scary thing - he was a full partner at a major NY law firm pulling down upwards of $5 million a year while he ran this scam...he had argued 20 times before SCOTUS and never lost a case...he was a complete genius and I doubt he will ever be caught. DO NOT SELL HIM A WATCH! (oh, yeah, if you see him, please call the cops on his wanted poster...)

Amazing read!
TRF members. Sacramento, San Francisco and L.A. is within driving range I'd be glad to help should anyone encounter such circumstances. Just pay for gas & food:) I'd be glad to go to the local UPS/FED EX pick up point to "block" such a delivery. Call, local L.E. talk to the store mgr etc. and persuade Mr.Scammer the wisdom of not going through with it. I'd gladly lay out to him what prison is like. In DETAIL. I'm glad this ended well. But my gut feeling is it won't be the first or last on this forum. My help is there for you if you need it. Just can't do much for people selling outside the U.S.
