Extra Link

Hello, I have a couple of watches I am wanting new links putting in. Doing them myself is not an option as I am useless at anything DIYish. AD for me is the only option. Question is I have been quoted $1000 for a DD YG link which seems expensive to me. I did not even ask about the other link, TT for Daytona.

Do you think they are trying to rip me off at that price?

Thanks in advance.

I have not priced links in a while, but years ago, 5 digit TT sub links were $250, so I am guessing $1k is not to far off. Honestly, I would take a look in the for sale section and see if one can be sourced, then just drop by an AD to have it fitted.

It seems a little pricy to me. I know for my 116718 the links can be had on eBay for about $500. There is one for sale in the parts section of this board's for sale forum for $350 I think.

I’d shop around if I were quoted $1000 for a link. I’d be you can find it cheaper. Especially for a DD link. I bet there’s a lot of them for sale out there on the internet

.

US Msrp for a YG President DD 36 bracelet (83208) is 600us$, 705us$ for a 1 1/4 link. Price is the same for DD40 83418 bracelet.

For an Oyster 73208 bracelet, link is priced 705us$ , half link is 660us$

All those prices in th US are given tax excluded.

I don't have price list for Kenya ...

As a point of reference, a 1.5 link for a Patek 5131P is US$1400 + tax.

Hey just last week I purchased a 1.25 extra link at the Toronto RSC for my yellow gold DD40. It cost me 800+ tax.

It is pricey but the watch now fits perfectly on my wrist. I highly recommend it.
