Icon11 cleaning the crystal of my rolex submariner

I just bought a new Rolex Submariner 16610 from Demesey Fine Watches for $4550. It looks great, this is my dream come true! Was curious what I should use to clean the crystal when it becomes smudged? Should I just use the cleaning cloth that came with it or is there a cleaning solution that anyone recommends? Thanks!!!

Any soft cloth will do, the crystal is quite tough Sapphire, and the only solution needed is a bit of soap and water while in the shower etc.

If you wear your shirts NOT tucked in, the piece of shirt near the last button works just fine.

congrats on your sub they are truely a great looking go anywhere time piece.

wear it in good health.

oh by the way the crystal is very tough just about anything shy of sandpaper will do the trick lol.

j/k and cloth will do as mentioned shirt, tie, sock, underwear, etc. will shine it up just fine.

Welcome to TRF, Sub.... (the handle's too long to spell out ). Glad you found your way over to our merry madhouse. As for cleaning, just about any cloth will do the job. You might breathe on it (like with glasses) to get some moisuture going and then run your shirtsleeve over it.

But don't worry, it'll take a few weeks, but you'll get over that cleaning fetish after a while.

BTW, where in MD are you located? I'm in Rockville.

I spit on mine and use the piece of steel wool I carry in my pocket.

Seriously, though...

An easy way would be to use the cloth provided by Optometrists for cleaning the lenses of your glasses. This cloth is lint-free and the best way to clean any surface. I use the same and it works on the crystal as well as on the metal surfaces, even gold!!
