Ap panda serie G should I get it?
So I'm really considering getting an Roo panda serie G it's definitely a beauty. I was considering getting the new grey dial but It's more because of the little upgrade like the caseback and ceramic button but I start thinking that it's still the same movement so my main concern now is if I get the series G panda is it considered too old? Will it be fine to swim or if it happens to get wet or what should be concern of? Do you guys think i should rather get the newer models?
And is there any different between serie g and other newer series? Please help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'll take the grey dial, case back and ceramic buttons any day of the week over the old model, very nice as well but these 3 major upgrades, not little as you stated, are clearly worth it IMHO

But guys, iam in the same boat as the OP exactly even in the models. But don't you think the gray theme will take hit in resale value after the new movement introduced.

If I was AP I would roll out the new chrono in the Jules audemars and ROC line first because those have non-Inhouse movements. The 3126 has the inhouse base 3120 movement with DD modual. The DNA of the ROO has always had the modular movement and since the base movement is inhouse that would be the last series I would put the new chrono movement in. If the new chrono went in the ROO I would expect a price increase as well. Better margin for AP and value retention for current watches. |

Panda, I LOVE the Panda. The Elephant was always kinda mehhh to me. If I were considering a newer model I'd get the Navy.

I think the panda is one of most beautiful ROO's out there, but then I may be biased. The contrast is really nice. The grey one is kind of dull and gets boring really fast, imho.

Newer isn't always better.
I like the bottom hour dial of the Panda compared to the newer models such as the elephant. Look at the hour positioning and the lines from the center. The newer one isn't as nice. Ceramic pushers are nice and the case back... Honestly, doesn't sway me one bit. The contrasting dial on the panda is awesome. |

For me the discontinued Panda on a stainless steel bracelet is the most beautiful incarnation of the ROO line, followed by the discontinued black ceramic diver...

I have a few APs incl BB, but Panda is classic and you can't go wrong. On black hornback with with or red stitches or bracelet

As much as I love Panda (imo it has the nicest dial of the offshore range), i think the upgrades, namely the ceramic hardware and the crystal back alongside a couple of other modifications, are worthing going for.

Go for the newer model with the ceramic pushers. It's too good to pass on.

love the panda.
after owning a couple of SS AP's, a ceramic bezel seems like a good idea… low and behold, they also make a panda with a ceramic bezel :)

Ap panda serie G should I get it?
I was just in the exact same boat and went for the 42mm ROO 26170 'G' series.
Same exact movement, I love the look of both but I bought mine for £7000 less than the 44mm ceramic. No brainer for me.
