5167 Strap Help

I cut mine one too tight. Sometimes it’s great.

Sometimes, not so much.

I called my local AD, who I’ve spoken with before and am starting a friendly relationship.

Nothing in stock, and apparently they called for another customer just recently. Nothing available from Patek.

Any ideas how I can secure one?

Thanks for your help.

Uh that's a shame. There is one for sale in Italy on chrono24, but it's expensive for rubber. https://www.chrono24.com/patekphilip...-id4307169.htm

If I was in your shoes I would try a water fast in honor of Patek and perhaps you will lose those millimeters around your wrist. Kidding obviously.

Yeah if you purchased your watch recently I wouldn’t be surprised if it was provided at no charge

No worries and the same thing happened to me. Just call H Stern NYC and they'll sen you another one (free if you recently bought new and made an honest mistake, though it is $$$ if it is not new/first owner).

Seth,

Go into H. Stern (Patek Service Center). They (Richard was great) will get you a new rubber strap and fit your wrist until its perfect. They are great. If they over-cut, they will get you another (free).

Enjoy!

Anyone know if HSWA also has the clasp in stock for the 5167 strap? Or that’s a 3 month wait? Lol

look on the bright side... its too tight now but that is your winter strap going forward. Once you get the new one there is your summer one. IMO you really need two aquanaut straps if you like it somewhat snug year round.

Is this a problem with the Aquanaut generally? I have recently acquired a Daytona on Oysterflex which is utterly fantastic, but I do tend to use the micro adjustment in the clasp as the day unfolds. On metal bracelets I'm happy to have it snug one moment and then a touch loose the next, I think a metal bracelet suits both looks. But with rubber and leather I tend to think it should always be snug.

Maybe my wrist shrinks and expands more than most? Interested to get views from those with Aquanaut experience.
