Darn it. I just called Beverly Hills and they already have around 200 people on the damn waiting list. Left a message with NYC and my number for the Boca Raton boutique went to a strange cell phone. Will have to recheck that. Looks like the demand will definitely be more than the supply. Too bad. I'm worried the 372 will be too big for my wrist and I will not pay a premium for the 390 either. Maybe will go get a 351 instead.

Jon, I can feel the excitement of being one of the first who owns it. This is as simple a Panerai can be. The dial, the fat patina, gold hands, the case back, strap you name it, they are all Paneristis would die for. Everybody envies you mate! Congrats!

Thanks for your kind words!! I feel it's a watch you have to see in person to appreciate it.

....initially liked the 417 more but the more I look at the 390, the more I'm loving it. It's definitely a watch that you have to see in person to appreciate. The pictures don't do justice to the watch. Similar to the 232.

Just found a 390 on offer for almost 10k USD. That's more than double the retail price.

Thanks guys!! I still haven't gotten a chance to wear it yet. I usually decide on a watch and rotate it each week but got couple other pieces recently that I've been rotating. I hope to get this on my wrist this coming week!

There's one at a HK store, Ken's Watches, that is for sale but don't know the price. Haven't seen any other.

Finally, I got mine as well. To make up my waiting time on this watch, I purchased two of them at the same time!!!

Just one more empty slot to be filled in for my safety box.
