Grand Seiko is known for Spring Drive and Hi Beat movements. Their newest offerings for their high end movements are limited editions and cost $10,000. If you’re willing to wait like me there will be new models with their new high end movements in the next 6-8 months for sure around $6,000

The new spring drive GMT SBGE253/255/257. New ones in the low to mid $5k.

Got my snowflake for about USD6K. In Ginza. Same price more or less for a Hi Beat 62GS. Both new.

Personally if I were to buy a GS that isn’t a 9F, I would absolutely go Spring Drive. I see that as the bell cow of the brand at this point.
