Collection Update: 2020 Edition

GMT Master II BLNR: the workhorse, the travel companion. The ultimate, care free GADA watch. The core piece of my collection!

AP Royal Oak Chronograph: the stunner, the show stopper. Wows me every time. The finishing is second to none. Versatile but leans dressy, especially at 38mm size

Lange 1815 Up/Down: the crown jewel. The ultra svelte, classy, dress watch. Understated with warm tones.

Rolex Daytona OF with Rose dial: the most recent acquisition and hardest to place in a category. So versatile, PM, rubber strap, ceramic bezel. Literally can fit in any situation. The summer watch!

And with that, I think I am done for a while. I feel content and very blessed to have acquired these timepieces through the years. Many have come and gone but this collection required a lot of thought as each piece serves a different purpose, and I truly enjoy the diversity.

Would love to see more collections and stories! Why did you choose what you did and how did you get there?

This is really a fantastic collection. It’s clear you’ve placed a lot of thought into each one. Although I somehow doubt you’re done forever... if you were to never buy another watch you’d still have a very very complete collection.

Thanks for sharing.

Recently been thinking about what my dream collection would look like and even simpler how many watches would it be.

One thing I saw online said perfect 3 watch collection was black non-ceramic sub, JLC Reverso Duoface and a Professional Moonwatch.

Seriously awesome collection! Great variety and you've got some awesome pieces.

Question - is there a reason you went AP over PP? Not that they always have to be compared, but they obviously often are.

Your AP looks amazing. I lean AP as well, although I'm probably quite a ways off getting one. Something about their aesthetic really works for me.

AP looks amazing! Curious about your wrist size? 38mm fits your wrist pretty well!

You need to teach a clinic on diversifying ones collection! So many get stuck in a brand and never see the light of day. Congratulations on a fantastic collection of winning pieces!
