Watch boxes...

I'm in the market for a new watch box. My Volta watch box interior is falling apart.

I would prefer a glass top and a wood case like the Savoy 10 piece by Wolf. But a person on Amazon wrote a review saying the watches fall to the bottom of the slot and do not sit up.

https://www.wolf1834.com/item/461610...e-watch-boxes/

So if you would I would like to see what others are using and your thoughts on what to buy. I'm looking for an elegant box to hold and display by watches.

Photos and ideas are greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance,

I have the 5 spot version of the one you posted. I've had it for a couple weeks and can say I am quite happy with it. The watch pillows fit pretty snug, so I am not too worried about the watches sitting too low. Here are a couple pics.

What are you storing for watches? If you’re just looking for plain stationsrt storage, it doesn’t really matter much. If you’re looking for something that’s going to keep your watches moving to replenish the power reserve, there are a lot of options out there.

The industry has come a long way. A few years ago, those less expensive watch winders often had loud motors. That’s not really the case anymore. Even very modestly priced cases have very quiet motors that are fully selectable and even remote controlled now.

A guy I know got a Chinese version of a Wolf case. It was about 1/4 the price and it’s illuminated, remote controlled, dead quiet, has the locking sleves to makes sure the watches do not fall out. It even has the removable travel Watch case/holder to take an extra watch on the road with you while traveling. I think he got it from amazon.

I have a Wolf and love it. I’m not sure the model but for the money they are great. I actually need to get a smaller case as I downsized my collection. Wolf goes on sale regularly and I think they are about as good as you can get at their price point

Awesome... I was hoping someone would have a photo of watches displayed in the Savoy case. Thanks for your post.

Be very careful buying a cheap winder. The cheap ones may magnetize and damage your watch. Either use a cheaper simple box or be willing to spend a good amount on a winder that won’t damage your watch. I am sure other members will reiterate this once they see it.

mac_135, I certainly hope those go into a good safe when you are not there.

Just bought a Wolf for my wife’s watch. Selective models are sold on Amazon at discount prices all the time. Newer models are not discounted. Like the option of battery powered units.

These are serious bits of kit. Austrian I think. Probably nicer than a fair share of the watches they end housing

I bought the Wolf Savoy 10 piece watch box on the Black Friday sale. Good news the price was nice and the box looks beautiful... Bad news was the cushions were to small and my watch would just slide off them. And when you put the watch in the slot it fell to the bottom. So I sent it back. I was really hoping this Wolf box would have fit the bill...

Oh well, still on the look out for the right watch box...

I hate to revive such an old thread, but I remember posting about this watch box way back. I have to say, after months of owning this box, I am not happy with the way the cushions have broken in. All of my watches fall to the bottom, like the OP was concerned about. If I were to buy again, I would choose something different.

I have this same Wolf, 10 slot watch box and love it. BUT I had to modify it by adding a 1/2 of black foam into each slot. Very easy to do and now the watches sit perfectly. The piano finish is beautiful and love having the glass top to see and admire my collection without having to opening it. One very important note is, if you have wrists larger than 7 1/4, the cushions will be to small and the watches will fit too loosely as the above pictures show.
