If you don’t have a CODE but received a 15202 now…. I think you are son of the Boutique owner

Or you're already a proven die-hard AP collector?

True, my first AP allocation was a blue dial ROC after SA interviewed me about my collection and what I do. After she realized that I was a whale at other brands she allocated me the ROC within 3 weeks to a month after first contact. She did mention however that Code really helps but my assumption is that they sell CODES to folks that they can't confirm with certainty are true collectors.

New « AP policy ». Your point is very interesting but unfortunately unfounded.
I have multiple founded experiences from friends (and myself) who proves the opposite.

PS:
None of them are children of boutique owners or Mr Bennahmias.

Or even neither? lol. Just someone who was genuine and had 3 APs before hand?

Idk if 3 considers me a die-hard AP collector even though AP is by far my favorite brand.

This is the last 2 pieces I received from my AP Boutique last year. I received from my AD the first new ROC who arrived in Boutique.
So, I don’t need to prove anything to my AP Boutique because we have a relationship from around 9-10 years and they know me very well.
I wish you all to can have all the pieces you like.
Maybe it was just for me because I wait something very special.
I will post when I will received it.

Your statement is very location dependent, I bought my first CODE (ceramic chrono) after I received 15500ST(blue),15202ST,15407ST through past couple of years.

I am confident too for this year.
Got my first AP last month (blue dial ROO Diver) and waiting for my wife new RO 34mm in mix rose-gold & steel.
Yesterday my Rolex AD called me to inform I would also get this first 2022 semester my steel Daytona (nearly 6 years waiting), this is ridiculous time honestly (but another subject!).
I find it easier to get AP RO than Rolex sport models haha

That’s a tough one since they’re likely going to phase out that model this year in favor of one with a new movement and exhibition caseback so it’ll result in a bunch of existing clients pushing hard to get a new one.

I’d hang tight for the new releases and then see what you like and check what’s available for you

Good choice, but need to hurry up - I don't think that will be with us much longer. Will be interesting to see if the 26239ST will have the same dial options. Gratuitous pic below

I haven't bought a code, and they are delivering my 15202ST with a custom rotor mid march...and I'm most definitely not the son of anyone remotely related to watches...😂😂

I got a call late august 2021 that my boutique received an allocation for my watch and would have it in store by December 2021. Asked for the full payment to secure the watch.

Have the 16202s been rolled out yet to clients yet or is it just ROCs and 37s so far?

Considering he had a one on one interview with the CEO of AP, a massive collector as well as an owner of a high end watch reseller store/website, yeah I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard for him to get one.

It only makes sense that important watch enthusiasts get first dibs on the hottest watches.

Or… it comes down to Asians being thinner and smaller wristed, shy away from AP models compared to other populations in Europe and North America. With the lockdown situation in hk, watch buyers are limited to locals only, allow us a better chance to get a hold of an RO.
