Ugh. WTH. Moisture in my 806 re-edition.
Ran from truck to house in rain for 10 seconds. Tonight I see condensation on crystal. Basically brand new watch with 50M water resistance. Grrr. Gonna drop it off at Mayors tomorrow for warranty service.

I'm so sorry to see this, what a shame. My love of water kept me away from watches like this or the Speedmaster for this exact reason.
Not sure if it'll get covered by warranty but either way hope it's somehow repaired for you soon. |

Dropped it off at dealer today. Google searches find others with Navitimer water issues and warranty covered it. Brietling requires water pressure test every 2 years to maintain warranty. Watch is 17 months old so hopefully I’m good.

OP
That is a lot of moisture and I have to wonder if the moisture did damage to the dial, hands, etc. So my thought would be to send it to Breitling in Wilton, CT. I would not let Mayors or Tourneau play with it. Good luck. |

Either way I'm glad you're seeing others with similar circumstances had theirs covered by the warranty. Be sure to keep us posted. |

Mayors told to me they are sending it to Breitling in CT .. thanks. They said if they DON"T hear from Breitling that means they are fixing it under warranty and will just ship it back. If they do hear from Breitling they would let me know .. because that would mean they are not covering it with warranty. I am in FLorida so its typical Rainy season here. Was going from truck to house in heavy rain ... I cannot believe this much moisture got in .. its crazy ... I guess going from hot humid rain into AC house is what caused it ... This reference is supposed to have decent water proof .. not swimproof of course .. but rain proof I would think - supposedly 5 ATM.

I have a Navitimer Chrono-Matic that I run under the faucet to clean all the time. This is unacceptable and should be covered. Rainfall is “splash” exposure and should certainly not be an issue.

Been 2 weeks and haven’t heard from dealer. Hope that means it’s getting repaired under warranty.

I'd have worked directly with Breitling, personally. They care much more about pleasing you than a dealer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JEEBUS - That is a lot of moisture!
Hopefully it has been caught in time to prevent major corrosion damage. Let us know about it after the overhaul. Looks like a major gasket failure.

It's wierd. That's a lot of moisture yet even hard rain should not be doing that. Maybe the air in Florida was super humid and you played around a lot with he chronometer? Then condensation in the house, without it being the rain? Strange.

Ugh. WTH. Moisture in my 806 re-edition.
I have a 1968 806. I can pop off the bezel and Crystal with just my fingernails and minimal effort. If they really replicated the original, I'd never expose it to water if at all possible.
