Dressy Daily in blue - what have I forgotten?

For a milestone birthday this year I am looking for a blue dialled daily wear to work piece (office based) with a dressy lean. I have the dive watch / sports watch area covered - several times over - but nothing really on the dress side.

On my shortlist is:

Glashutte Original Panoreserve - blue
JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon - blue
Vacheron Constaintin Fifty Six selfwind - blue

Anything else around this price point that I may have overlooked?

Not sure of your budget, but would consider FPJ CB and Lange one blue dial.

The font on the dial really makes it stand out.

I love the VC 56 complete calendar in blue, but maybe beyond the budget you have set. This is my current favourite and next on the radar....Laine blue triple guilloche dial.

A lot of good choices out there but I would go with a Rolex Date Just in either 36 mm or 41 mm with the blue dial with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. Dress it up, dress it down, it works. Won't break the bank and is always easy to sell/trade should you want.

Thanks for all the replies!

I actually have a DateJust 36, fluted on Jubilee in blue. I like it, but it’s not quite ticking my boxes for this purpose ..

The GS Omiwatari I tried on, but I could not get the clasp to work for my wrist (it was halfway up the side and uncomfortable) and no short strap option available. Plus I want something darker blue really. The other GS above it too sporty.

Budget is flexible for the right piece. The Laine certainly looks interesting! That’s the next hour’s internet surfing sorted.

I much prefer the day-date to the complete calendar, but sadly the DD is not currently available in blue. If it was, this could be a winner as I really like the case shape of the 56.

Since you already have a fluted DJ36, a Reverso Tribute would definitely pair well with that. Monoface for a smaller/dressier look, Duoface for slightly larger/sportier but gives you an extra dressy white dial option as well.

If you want to consider something slightly more affordable, the 39mm Zenith Elite is a beauty and can still be found new.

That is one gorgeous watch. I have been eyeballing Laine for awhile - love what they offer and that is one gorgeous blue. Hope you get one soon, would love to hear what you think.

And OP, I think your three choices are stellar. I would also recommend the new Small Seconds Omega Aqua Terra, I think that hits both very nicely.

If you read it through, OP stated "anything else around this price point".

I like the VC 56.

Isn’t there a Mr Porter special edition in blue?

Depending on budget, I‘d submit that one could also daily a 5205g.

Another great choice would be the VC Patrimonies in blue with rose gold, that’s a beautiful color combo and lest I‘m mistaken they have a day date in that line as well.

For dressy dials in wild colors, there’s always Moser too. Not personally too big of a fan as they make quite thick watches with movements which are not quite finished to the level of their brand positioning ambitions, but they’re not bad watches by any description.

Omega Constellation with Blue Dial

While may not be in the catagory of some of the high horology pieces noted in this thread, it would stand it's ground (arguably) with the GS and Datejust suggested. Unlike some of the other models suggested it is readily available. If possible I would get it on the bracelet and order the Omega blue strap that dresses it up a bit. Can easly function as a daily.

Love that watch! Beautiful.

It’s funny I went in to the AD for my four seasons spring and very nearly waked out with one. Tried and was just looking at it and playing with it while waiting for my sales rep and the dial is amazing and nearly impossible to catch how nice it is in photos. I still ponder if I made the right choice, but I ordered my 4 seasons and it just came in so I ultimately stuck with it, but I love the skyflake.

Breguet Marine is a huge sleeper imo, the roman numerals look much better in real life.

I apologize, but I am not familiar with the price range of those watches, but …

A friend of mine recently asked me for a recommendation on Blue Dial - Dress Watches, and I sent him the suggestions below.

I did not include Breguet, because he already had one.

“Dressy Blue” …
