Thanks but it just got serviced by Rolex. It’s first service (!). Worked totally fine but I thought I had better get it done after 14 years of daily use. Everyday to work, holidays, sea swimming etc etc.

It did have a bezel replacement and a light polish (second stage only). Cosmetics wise it was in pretty good condition for a daily beater.

Flat 4 dial. But still quite a high price! Maybe $10k or more too high.

Have heard or read that there are ni more green inserts from rolex for the lv is this true?
If your bezel is banged and you would like a change in service time that there ar non available? I understand rolex controlling the supply in order to avoid confusion with franken lv and real lv but has anyone heard or read of this?

Fairly certain that another member posted a thread a few weeks back where he received a new LV bezel insert when it went it for service. IIRC it was a variation of a flat four as well.

There have always been green bezel inserts available for Kermits.
In recent years, Rolex has only ever supplied them strictly on an exchange basis.

The critical issue around supply of the inserts has related to the earliest "flat 4" version, which was previously discontinued and out of stock.
The post by Milton relating to the recent supply of a new "flat 4" insert was in effect a revelation and gives hope for those who wish to maintain their earlier Kermit in original condition as much as humanly possible.

There's never been a problem with getting Kermit bezel inserts.
Refer to my previous post for further clarity.
