Now, that’s a watch collection!

Steve, you must be one of the most interesting people on TRF. Would love to sit and share a bottle of scotch with you and swap stories. Mine wouldn’t be as good as yours, but I’d be more than happy to make up for that by providing the whisky!

Was at the pioneer museum in Colorado Springs and came across this essential expedition piece of equipment.

Quite the elegant tool watch!

Figured this was a good thread to drop it in

I, too, am anxious to read your book once it's out. I had read this thread last year and am happy to see you're posting again. Enjoy the new white OP (I'm a fan of these OPs) -- what a wonderful collection you have. Take good care.

I’m new here and stumbled on this thread by accident. I got to post #284, noticed it’s started back in ‘14 and wondered if it’s still alive presently. Began reading it in reverse till I saw the pic of your entire collection, it’s amazing. I enjoyed the way you slowly revealed the individual watches. It ties in nicely with the way your expeditions unfolded, staged over time. It’s a journey, and in a way, that is what watch collecting is about isn’t it? It doesn’t all come together in one go...

I’m no explorer but I can relate to the ‘Man and his Watch’ sentiment so strongly evident here. Rolex are truly made as tools and even though I don’t use them in extremes like you do, I guess we each have our own connection to our watches.

But wow, I’m still speechless and thank you for sharing. Cheers.
