Great sorry and awesome visit!

Since being lucky enough to become a 15047st owner I really want to visit and see the work that goes into the movement, really like your pictures on this.

Out of interest have you considered putting the grey rubber strap on your 15400? Think the rhodium 15400 would make an awesome daily on the grey strap.

Nice write up. I did the tour back in 2014, my very first watch manufacturer tour. Indeed there was so much to see, I even asked them to skip lunch so that I can visit more workshop. The most fascinating for me is the dial workshop for the Royal Oak.

There's a reason why Royal Oak watches are not so easy to make and AP can't just increase production because of the limited number of those machines that can make them them and limited watchmakers with the necessary skillset.

Someone did a tour of the Reno Papi workshop some years ago and there was a nice write-up in here as well.

AP boutique employees are eligible for a trip to the factory. My sales associate at the LV, NV told me that her other sales associate just recently returned. She was full of enthusiasm and talks about the visit. Nice of AP to pickup the tab.

Nope but I bet there are many with such an old building and such little village.

Totally agree. I did mine in 2013 but didn't do APRP. REALLY want to go back and see that yet I know it will cost me because I'll have to own an AP or RM with APRP movement after I see it first hand.

Maybe we should plan a trip together. I can talk to AP about it.

I’m yet to tour the factory, something I’ve always wanted to do and even more so now as I’d love to see first hand how they hand finish the openworked movements.

Great write up as always fella

What was that they gave you as a parting gift? I thought it was aged AP cheese at first glance of the wrapping...
