Basel 2019 plans...

With Baselworld next month, what are your plans for the day of the new Rolex releases?

I finish work at 06:00 so have the rest of the day catching up on the threads, reports and videos coming out.

Anyone planning to take the day off? Anyone visiting their AD?

My office is next to 3 ADs, I think I'll hit them up.

Well, I'm retired, so every day is a day off for me.

But...I will probably spend a little more time on TRF that day.

I'll be browsing the forum, checking out the watch sites, and feeling bad that if they release something I like that I'll never get it lol!

New releases if its anything like the passed 5 years or so, we could have some cosmetically changed old ones and thats about it.

I’ll probably forget. Randomly remember. Hop onto the website. Ponder for shout or so if I should call my AD to get in line. Finally make the call. And then wait. And wait. And wait. And wait.

Hoping to get the call on the now updated HULK & BLNR as more people chase those and I can get one of the "old" ones, now declared "vintage" and now "so last season" that I can get mine!!

(pipe dream only!)

...and yesterday AD told me they already had orders for whatever was issued.....

(and no, I am not allowed on any lists with them either!!)

Both statements are basically a big F.O. to me and I never plan to go there again.

I’m getting the same treatment. Do you think all ADs have something against us Daves?

A name change would be cheaper than paying grey prices.

I will hit the gym at 4am, then possibly go fishing if the wind, waves and weather are good. Take care of my 2 dogs, have something to eat around 10am, check my emails, talk to my wife up North......and follow my 35 yr tradition of not knowing or caring about Bezzel World.
