SS Skydweller Stock...VIPs please chime in

Okay so I have been on the waitlist for an SS Blue Skydweller for about a year. My AD claims to have not seen one since I’ve been on the list, and claims to have only received one black that went to someone waiting for a blue.

I have also gotten the same run around from other ADs, that I have essentially no relationship with.

Is this really true? I get they may not get 6+ a year, but are ADs really only getting 0-2 max per year? Those out their with extensive collections / deep relationships what are you seeing?

My whole goal is to get one at retail before summer of next year when I plan to get married, but don’t even know if that is possible at this point...

My Ad told me they have seen one in the past year which I would believe accurate because I have not asked about this watch so why would they lie ? They only lie about the ones you want right ?? Lol

If you don’t have a relationship with an AD I think it will be very hard to get one st retail that is my thought. But who knows maybe you will get lucky. I believe that by summer of next year these won’t be 21k plus. But what do I know

I’ve been told the same from an AD that I have good standing. To appease me for a little while, he gave me a gmt Tudor.

SS Skydweller

I have been told by my local AD that the SS Sky Dweller is rarer (or put another way they get less to sell) than the Daytona (including both dial variations) and the Pepsi. The exact number I was told was 3 in the last year. And this I believe (although candidly don't remember for sure) was exactly split amongst the three dials (meaning only two blue/black, if the white dial is a non-starter). I was pretty surprised to hear the numbers in comparison to other watches that sell for more over list but are apparently seen with more regularity by the AD.

Aligns with my AD’s comments. My SS black Sky was 1 of 2 they received last year

Last year I was fortunate enough to get black and white dial Daytona, black and white dial skydweller, Pepsi, SD43 But no blue skydweller yet!!!
They are (in my experience) the rarest!!

Depends on the size of the AD and their Rolex connection repertoire. But some of my larger ADs I know get one every other month at least.

Funny! My AD first offered me Tudor GMT, then hulk and just recently SD43...
Still working on SkyD!

With regards to unicorn Rolex we have bought them all except for the blue sky-d. Have personally never seen one! It must be the ‘rarest’ of the ‘rare‘ models. They just don’t make many of them.

This is definitely the first I have ever heard anything remotely like this... understand the market you are in and it may be true!

I have a great relationship with one of the larger Ohio ADs

I've been offered a black sky dweller in the past 6 months but not a blue. Not on a list for any of them, the AD was just being friendly I suppose.

Agree it's likely the rarest SS Rolex out there right now.

There is a large billboard on my way to work advertising Rolex with a blue SS sky dweller pictured. I see it twice per week. Been there almost a year. When I pass by I imagine all the disappointed people who say “I want that!” without knowing what it is.

Sorry but that watch looks absolute best in white. Not a fan of the blue at all.

The blue dial SS Skydweller has evaded me since its release. I generally get allocation, but my AD is saying they haven’t received a single blue dial since it’s release. It’s a unicorn at the moment.

Same here, waiting for a blue dial. I don’t understand what is going on. The demand must be high, but AD to get 1-2 per year is very strange, especially for a new model. Not to mention that all other SS sport models are also missing. Curious if we will find out why at Baselworld.

Yep, this is the case. It’s the by far the longest I had to wait to get a watch. It’s absolutely amazing in person. My favorite of all time

My dealer did not mention exact numbers but says all Skydwellers are pretty few and far between, but the SS ones have been extremely scarce since announced. Not on my want list anyway.

AD tells us the same thing. Then I asked my grey watch dealer, he gets it the next day, from that very same AD. So they do exist, but only going to their biggest fish.
