Robert Kraft....thoughts?

This ought to be interesting.....

Me thinks it’s much ado over nothing and way overblown (and I despise the Pats).

performance enhancing drugs are a no no professional sports. He is 77.

Viagragate which is ironically the opposite of deflategate

in all seriousness the human trafficking element is terrible, not that he knew but still. I guess that is why making that stuff illegal forces it to be run by the shady elements of society and the people working there are trapped by traffickers. Had it been legit, that issue isn't there. Do i care that he paid for sex? no. Do i care that the women working there were possibly trafficked? yes

I keep thinking of those Disney ads that asked sports figures who just one big games,

"Hey, Robert Kraft! You just won the Super Bowl! What are you going to do now?"

When your net worth is $4.4 billion (with a b), you might want to think about ordering in.

Human trafficking is awful. All should be busted.

HOWEVER this is exactly what I hate about our media. He wasn’t the only one. You are going to make his public then blow up the rest of the folks as much OR keep it all private until the truth and conviction. It wasn’t just him, it was several. What about all the other douchebags, put their names out their in the same press conference.

Couldn’t agree more.

This hits close to home for me as my wife is involved in social work and sees the effects of this in our community and across the country.

It’s sickening.

Human trafficking is sickening.

Go after the traffickers. Find and prosecute them.

Find the trafficked women. Save them.

Leave everyone else alone.

If he went twice, and they have video evidence, does this mean that cops were literally surveilling the place and allowing it all to happen while they built the case? Instead of stopping it, saving the effected women, and hunting down the traffickers?

It’s a sad situation.

What he was trying to do isn’t all that sad.

Human trafficking is certainly sad.

It certainly shouldn’t take a high profile name to bring this issue forward in this manner.

The media is a bunch of regurgitating fools who repeat after one another. I don’t see one reporter going after a serious interview with someone who was trafficked.

It’s sad what the media is doing and this is now how some will remember him.

People look up to famous or rich people as role models for some reason and are disappointed when they fall from grace. Maybe if they weren’t held up so high they would have to fall so far. He’s just a guy. Just trying to get through the day like all of us.

Yes it does Seth, but sadly it’s probably necessary. As horrible as that sounds, I’m certain the authorities know where most of these places operate.

The goal of the authorities is to find the higher ups and links to the larger trafficking ring land organized crime. Think it the same as drugs.

You’d be surprised, (or maybe not) to know that the people involved in this trade, are from all walks of life. It’s highly organized, ruthless and the girls at the end of their tenure, are ruined forever. Often the girls work in one town for a week or maybe two, and then are shipped off to another city, or country only to continue the cycle. It’s one way the perps keep ahead of the game.

Fair enough. I respect and understand that.

I just don’t think it’s realistic. It’s the oldest profession for a reason.

There will always be demand. And therefore people to fill the demand.

I don’t know if the news has explained this case sufficiently. Kraft was by-catch along with many others. Yes, the court had issued video tap warrants of the spa’s.

The target of the very long investigation were the traffickers and many of these spa’s. It was his two visits that came to light once the authorities swept in and arrested the operators.

So LE was doing its job to follow the leads to get to the top of the Org. and not just the workers. They deserve kudo’s not jeers.

Kraft was identified during a standard presser by authorities to announce the raids. A long charge list of names was being recited. Some enterprising reporter literally asked, “Robert Kraft? The owner of the NE Patriots?”

So, nobody targeted Kraft - but now that it has happened, he is going to have a hard time explaining this to league officials.

Trafficking aside, (we all are against that) the fact that there were other more well-known people that were involved in the sting that have not been named, makes me suspicious. Why is the police department just releasing Kraft’s name at this time? It seems like a game to the police. If, for example, there were baseball players involved; are they waiting for the season to begin? I don’t really care for the Patriots, but I know a hit job when I see one!

The real crime is the fact that the media is more focused on Kraft than the trafficking piece. This human violation is afflicting this world on an epic scale, people are being sold, I cant get my head around that. No one seems to be emphasizing this and it's everywhere. Not limited to some dark corners of the world.

Also, per the media there are supposed to be others with bigger names that Kraft (if that's possible). Who are they? Why not release those names?

At least find one to come to his own hotel room where there are no cameras. Obviously thinking with the wrong head.

It's incredible how some people take their own amazing life for granted and do something this stupid to tarnish it and their reputation. It is yours to ruin I suppose.
