There are several here in the “DMV” (shorthand for D.C. / Maryland / Northern Virginia area).

I think it helped that we bought my wife a two tone DJ last year for our anniversary. My AD knows we bought these watches to one day pass down to our niece and nephew (2 and 5 years old respectively). My AD knew I was not a “flipper.” These watches will be worn and loved every single day.
Congrats on the SD! Excellent choice for a first! As someone already said, that can easily be a first and last. But we all know that's true as long as you stick around these parts :-)

Out of curiosity, were these all just sitting in a display case or did your AD take these out from the back personally for you to choose? I could imagine the sub being readily on display, but it would surprise me if the other two were just out and ready for a walk-in to buy. Maybe I am too jaded by the extremely limited supply out here in LA.

Congrats! All three were great choices, what factors helped you choose the SD over the sub and BLNR?

You have no idea how hard it is to get one off the 3 with the current shortage...
Therefore I am very happy for you, congrats !

No,

My AD had me meet him at the Cartier / Mikimoto case. These pieces had just arrived from Rolex and were literally still in the clear plastic cases. I believe every remaining piece will be sold to other priority clients. My AD had not had a SS sports model since Oct 2017.

Great watch but too bulky for me, its a very popular and sought after watch and really subjective on your needs, you won't go wrong with that watch. I'd of gone for the GMT myself but would probably of tired of the blue after a while and wished I bought the Sub or the SD43. I think you made the right choice, congrats. Was the AD in the USA, maybe this is a sign that inventory is up.

Thanks glassdial. Yes - it is a US authorized dealer. We’re in the “DMV” (Washington DC / Maryland / Northern Virginia area)

If it had been my first, maybe I could have nipped this disease in the bud. But unfortunately I stared by getting my wife a yatch master, and since no decent me’s sports watches were available and Air King was next. Still wanted a Hulk when I was offered a DS43... But wife decided it was a gift for my Birthday and put it in safe 😫. Ok, since I only had one I eventually accepted a Hulk (after putting myself on a coke jubilee list...)

Arrgghhh. Should have just gotten a black Sub and never visited this forum.
