Oysterflex mod

After several months of searching, I’ve finally sourced all I need to make a change. I’ve enjoyed the gold oysterflex Daytona so much I decided I wanted to put my ceramic one on oysterflex too, while keeping my black stainless on its bracelet for variety. I think it’s perfect. Thanks to all here for the inspiration. And to Tim for getting me the last strap I needed. Enjoy the pics!!

Two oysterflex straps, 2 endlinks. That’s it.

Looks great but I’m confused. Does the oyster flex band come with white gold link ends that connect to the case? I was told by my AD you could do the mod BUT there would be a large gap where the band connects to the case.

You have to order aftermarket SS end links. There are a few vendors.
Smartylinks are about $80. http://www.smartyendlinks.com

The fit isn't perfect but its close enough where you have a very hard time telling its not.

Super cool. One question - since you have the gold version wouldn’t the AD supply straps as you own an “official” OF mode Daytona?

Was about to ask the same thing. If you own the model with Oysterflex AD can easily order replacement pieces. If it was not as simple as then I would love to know why. I have spoken to people that have done that. It is also how some have sourced the Oysterflex.

My sub says hi. I am actually debating maybe buying end links

Perfect! Now the decision on spending 28k on this one watch or 3 :)

Man people on this forum are Ballin! I thought I was doing good with my lowly 2017 Heuer Autavia. It has gotten me interested in chronographs and I think that white dial with the oysterflex is my favorite watch on the planet and a perfect compliment to my Autavia! Impossible to be had, but one can dream.

Probably depends on the AD. Mine has basically said to get a new one I’d have to send a damaged one in. That that’s their policy.
