Hey Guys, Please Do Me a Favor!!
I post all over the net, but most of real net friends reside right here and this is the only place I am posting this plea. Guys if you would be so thoughtful please keep my big sister Denise in your thoughts. She has always been my big/little (smaller) sister and she needs all the good thoughts she can get.
Denise is a mother of three, not to mention a single mother of three. She has the biggest heart in the world and loves people and life as much as any person I have ever seen. She has also had more health issues in the past than any person at here age (mid thirties) should have. Well guys, as of last Thursday the bad news continued for her. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, thankfully it was found earlier, but this form she has spreads very quickly. The doctors think that they have it confined but will know more after surgery next week. After that it looks like chemotherapy and hopefully a speedy recovery. My sister and I have always been thick as thieves as she was the one that I have always gone to for advice. She told me she was more scared to tell me, than of the surgery. I am pretty numb right now, but if you could please just keep her in your thoughts Andie and myself would really be thankful. Thanks for reading this guys you really are a bunch of good friends. My thoughts are with her and the rest of your family. Many ppl in my family have had bad health issues over the last decade and know how you feel.
Just make sure you KNOW this, technology and medical advancement over the last decade or so has advanced quite rapidly. I am sure that your sister will beat this, especially since it was detected early. I have plenty of faith in todays doctors! |

That's bad news Daren but at least they have caught it early. My thoughts are with Denise and your family and I hope she gets through it alright.

Darren my thoughts are with you,and your sister, be strong for her mate to get though this difficult time.I know from past experience, I was about 2 years ago diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.Well with a lot of treatment and chemo, help from a few friends world wide,my last 2 scans have shown to be in full remission.Like you I post on several sites, but only a
few on the other Rolex forum new anything about it.But this forum is a lot more homely, and friendy,so Darren be strong it can and will be beaten. Last edited by padi56; 30 June 2005 at 05:51 PM.. |

Thanks to all of you guys, I really mean it!! I just spoke to Denise and she had some great news at the Dr. today. Some biopsies from the general area came back negative, so that is encouraging.
She is pretty scared as is the whole family. But we are trying to keep a positve atitude and hope for the best. I may not be posting as much and in my usual way for a bit, but I will be on here everyday. Thanks again guys your support really means alot to me and makes me feel much better. Cheers Daren |

No worries, Daren, we can understand if you don't post as often; but your family needs you right now and that is very important at this stage.
Just be with your sister and give her your full big-hearted support, my friend. Everything will come right in the end. Regards - JJ |

I'm so sorry to hear that, Daren. It's hard to fathom what your sister, you, and your family are feeling. It has to be the scariest thing in the world. :-(
Fortunately, things can now be treated that we could hardly imagine a few years ago. She's very fortunate that it was caught early. I'll certainly keep her in my thoughts and hope for the best possible outcome for her. |
