Winding noise and vibrations after Submariner service

Hello,

Just had my Submariner serviced because I started to feel vibrations from the rotor when is was turning. The bearings was supposedly replaced, but I can more then ever clearly feel vibrations when I shake my watch and the rotor turns fast. I also hear the rotor moving inside more then ever.

Shouldn’t this been fixed if they replaced the bearing, or at least be discovered during service? Is was serviced by an Rolex certified workshop.

Simple answer stop shaking your watch would doubt if anything is wrong with your watch especially if serviced by RSC. But if not happy the only people that can give you more information is the ones that serviced your watch, that should have been your first port of call.

Just wanted some experienced opinions before Monday.

Edit: I don’t exactly walk around shaking my watch, but it’s very noticeably during the day

How do you hear the rotor turning when the watch is on your wrist?

Anyway, if you’re not happy with the service on the watch why not discuss the issue with the people who serviced it.

Which Submariner model is it? The 11 series has a practically silent rotor which should not shake. The 12 series is the opposite. If one of my 11s started getting noisy or vibrating, it would be sent in to the RSC immediately. If your watch has drifted noticeably from its usual state and a service hasn't fixed it, you will, as advised, need to speak to whoever serviced it.

I've definitely heard about the new models having noisy rotors you can sometimes feel on your wrist. My day-old 124060 is pretty quiet though, I don't feel anything when wearing it.

What you're describing almost sounds like the classic rotor wobble from a 7750 or something. I'll let those who have had new gen models for longer chime in.

All my 5-digit Subs are quiet as all get-out.
Must be design changes if newer ones are noisy?
