Dj41

Hello guys.

Been here for quite some time, but lost my old account because I can’t remember my old mail.
So I’m not new to the site, but I sure am glad to be back.

I need help. Just bought a DJ41, but I can’t decide if it’s too big for me.
I think that the bigger dial than my 116610, is playing with my mind.

Does it seem to fit or is it on the larger side for my wrist?
Thank you guys.

Definitely not too big.
A DJ36 is way too small for any mans wrist imo so you made the right choice

Fab watch! I’ve got the smooth version of that. Think it looks fine. My rule of thumb is that if you can see some wrist meat above and below the lugs then all’s good. My guess your wrist is 6.75 inches?

Thats right. It doesn’t matter how large you are what size wrist you are. If you are a man, you cannot wear a 36mm.

Have a word with yourself…

OP the 41mm looks fine on you, as I’m sure the 36mm would.

My advice, don’t ask here on this forum. You’ve only got to look at many other posts where the watches look comical on the wrists of some, and you get members congratulating them with how wonderful they look.

I like it and it looks good on your wrist. Give it some time and wear and it visually become the norm for you.

Best way to determine that is usually pics or mirror shots from a bit of a distance - but even close up, it doesn't look too big. Enjoy your watch.

Thank you for all the answers.
My wrist is 7” and while I do think it fits my wrist, the dial just seems so big.
Tomorrow I’ll try on a brand new Yacht Master 126622. That is also a watch I have a week spot for.
If it seems to fit a little bit better, I’ll might get that one.
The DJ41 seems bigger to me, than a SubC on my wrist….

If it looks fine in that close-up shot, it should definitely be fine from a distance. Keep in mind that a DJ41 is actually only 39.5mm or so.

It’s because the dial is big.

Bigger than the Sub, bigger than a GMT…

A DJ36 shares the same dial size as many of the other sports models.

Not at all. The lug to lug length is well within your arm and can see plenty of bracelet

Actual dimension for DateJust 41 is less than 40mm which is smaller than the Sub.

From picture it looks perfect on your wrist.

Size is totally personal preference, some people has bigger wrist but preferred 36mm.

Whatever make you happy, goes for that one.

Perfect size and great choice.

That is the right size for your wrist. You are experiencing a little bit of "fish eye" effect when you put the watch up to your face, a mere 12 inches from the optics of your visual processing centers. Try checking it out in a mirror standing 6 feet away. You will find that perspective is a more realistic representation of the watch dimensions as it wears on your wrist.

But they called it 41 because it feels big and definitely feels like 41. Point proven by this thread especially.
I’m also on the fence. But from a distance always looks good, and easier to read the time

I’ll say it again, sweet spot is 38. If I were to do it again would go 36, despite some obvious idiots who say ,’not a mans watch’
