Tudor 94010 Advice

Been eying a vintage Tudor submariner for quite some time, since I let my 79090 go ~2 years ago.

Any thoughts on this one? Priced well and I don’t mind the lack of bracelet and paperwork.

To my untrained eye, it looks like the hands may have been relumed. Any help would be appreciated!

Check engravings the most common fakery is cases on these.

I recall 94010 early ones were Snowflake and later Triangle 3,6,9/service.

Haven't had time to check notes...sure others will,
but I think this might be a service dial, unless it's the hybrid orig. snowflake hands square marker version perhaps...if so it will be narrow circa 8.8 to 8.9 million range only .

Ross outlines the range here at bottom half of article.

Agree with Paul. All signs suggests service including the insert too.

The crown guards are thin….

It's a service dial. the serial is 20,000 something if I recall. I was going to bid on it but I ended up passing. The current asking price ($6500) is way too high.

OP, if you don't mind saying, what might "priced well" be - always helps in making these decisions!

Thanks so much all. I really like the look of it, but am totally out of my league. Your advice/guidance has been invaluable. Will pass, this time.

IMO, the price would have to be much lower to make this watch attractive. In addition to the service parts as described above, the case is in poor condition (e.g. lug holes and crown guards).
