One of you guys with a strong relationship should msg AP House LA and ask to do a G2G there, they should be able to host a decently sized group

I’m down for a hangout in LA as well. What’s a GTG? And not to be a Debby downer, but how can we all meet up safely without a crazy person on here trying to come to the meet up trying to rob all of us?

Dude the PRS one off just for the AP boutique from John Mayer? Holy… I’d rather have that than a watch.

I haven’t been down in a few years but one of the places I stay at is the London which is just a couple blocks down. Next time I’m definitely coming by to check out that guitar.

The article link posted above is about an opening event attended by John Mayer where he presented them with a one off PRS Silver Sky guitar. A “piece unique” guitar if you will. The Silver Sky Paul Reed Smith line of guitars was co-created by Mayer to substitute for the Fender Stratocaster guitars he had been playing (probably also a lucrative endorsement deal). They’re great guitars.

Unlikely to ever be sold for obvious reasons.

That’s super cool. Met John Mayer a few years ago super nice guy!

AP House in Los Angeles?

Well worth a visit.
Fantastic space and very welcoming staff with a wide selection of exhibition watches to try on.

Photos for visual interest

It’s for their push to get to know the customer better, and their experiential initiative. There’s a huge hospitality focus now and a lot of their recent hires have come from the hospitality industry. I can tell you from visiting multiple boutiques, and the AP House in NYC that this has been paying off. It’s far away the best customer experience of any watch brand in my opinion.

As I understand it, they wanted to change the customer experience - instead of feeling like you’re shopping in a boutique / store, they wanted to create an experience where you are able to connect and build relationships with your SA / team, hang out, and chat about all things - not necessarily just the pieces you’re purchasing.

Original inspiration was from Material Good and how they’ve set themselves up. I’ve been to AP House NY and Material Good, and it’s definitely a different feel (in a good way) to other shopping experiences I’ve had.

Are we supposed to order our pieces through the AP Houses in the future? What happens to the relationships we've built with our local SA?

I've been to the AP Houses in Tokyo, Barcelona, Madrid and NYC so far. Every one I've visited, I'm greeted by someone exceptionally pleasant, we shoot the shit about anything, they show me some watches that they may have and that's it. I have fun, but I still don't really know what the houses are for, lol.

Both will be too crowded for a decent sized group. Rooftop at the sixty hotel, next to Ferrari BH, is a nice hidden gem to get a group together.
