Just read this entire thread... I'm seriously obsessing over the 16570 Polar. Can't wait to get my hands on one and should be incoming soon. I'm going for the drilled lug holes over the 3186 movement. Funny thing is... I never gave this model a second thought until I saw it on instagram and fell in love. Then I saw what the prices were - easily has to be the most undervalued sports Rolex. Can't believe I can have a date and a GMT hand and that perfect 39mm case for under 4k. Not to mention the white dial and stainless bezel kind of gives you that bright, summery Daytona 16520 look.... for $8,000 less. This is one of those watches for people who just "know."

Almost 6 years as a daily.
An understated piece that still looks fresh.

It's a special watch...and has a special place in my collection. Marks the birth of our daughter!

Quick question... anyone tried attaching a deepsea rubber b strap (M107) to the explorer 216570? They're both 21mm lug width, correct?

The EXP II was my first Rolex purchase... others have come and gone but the EXP II always remains... I love it.

I came across this great Explorer II ad a few days ago and decided to share it here. I have a M serial incoming when I return to the States, can’t wait!

Thank you! Unfortunately, resizing it to fit lost some of the right side. You can find the original along with another great polar exploration ad here:

I think the 216570 polar is one of the best looking time pieces on the market (bold statement, I know). I don't have one yet, but will probably pick up one within the next year for my wife (it's her favorite as well).

Before you pull the trigger, if you have not already, try a on a 16570 Polar.

Seconded in the first point, mine sure is a favorite among my collection. On the latter point, your wife better have strong wrists, it’s pretty big.
