Aquanaut trial and error has led to a 5164R

*Ooops wrong forum! Can you move it to the Patek forum please mods!

Within the past month or so I’ve had three different variations of the aquanaut land at my FedEx and I believe this is the one to stay.

Say hello to 5164R picked up from Patek salon 3/21 and on my wrist 6 days later

Congrats! Love the dial. You got this from the salon? What’s your purchase history? Thought it was mostly grey.

Wow so someone bought it, flipped it, and you got it all within a week!? That’s awesome! Congrats man. I couldn’t decide if it was worth the hassle trading from a 5167r but so glad to have the 5164. It’s the one.
I wasn’t sure about the buckle when you were asking about mine, can I see the new one?

My grey dealer said he knew a guy picking one up last week and I bought it the day he picked it up from the salon. So unfortunately no I did not pay Salon pricing

You mean a Singaporean AD? There are no salons in Singapore...
Still, congrats on a nice watch.

Beautiful watch!

And the colors go well with the guitar in your profile photo.

Congrats, this is the right Aquanaut (5164R-001), so gorgeous. Secondary market is asking for $100k, I think it's way overprice.

What does it matter. The original owner knowingly moved the watch. Great watch. Enjoy.

I think secondary trading these a little lower than the list.

But $100k still a better deal than perpetual and or Roger Dubuis bundle. Lol.

My guess is that this was a VVIP at Cortina or Hour Glass. VVIP wants to keep their spend level up and takes the piece. Given scale and volume the dealer can get away with doing this on occasion and Patek briefly cringes. It’s not exactly likely that Patek will cut off the two gigantic stores of Asia. They also probably don’t want to have awkwardness with Singapore authorities.
