I suspect the rust makes it worth even more in this market.

It's definitely more rare than other 5711s...

OP, there are much nicer options at that pride point. Don’t go with the flow - you usually end up getting the short end of the stick.

I’d get an AP or ALS at the mentioned prices in this thread.
Bad advice.....??

Well, the watch game has change......

I'm not encourage him to pay 100% premium.......

If he want the watch he will have to pay above retail, but at how much above the retail.....

Getting AP or ALS you still lose money and I don't see your point....

I rather get the watch that I want such as 5167 instead of finding alternative or replacement. .....

Agree with my friend......^^^.....

I am guessing this is a new thing similar to how rolex has went over the past few years, unbelievably hard to get. I reckon when the next market crash comes these rolexs will burst and be easily available once again so therefore patek should be the same ? Or maybe not, i think the problem with rolex is your average guy now wants one as there not really that expensive, so everyone wants on the list. Maybe patek slightly different and might not be affected by a financial collapse
The watch game has change now days......

My advice is be become a 2019 Pledge member and post a want to buy a 5167 at a whole sale price that the gray willing to pay for or will pay above whole sale price but not the market price.....

Even bubble pop the 5711 and 5167 is still sale above retail value.....

Click above link to read...^^^.... (Regarding will the Bubble Pop on the Patek Philippe sport watch...???)

Guys,
In the meantime we were discussing on this thread the grey market price lifted by 15%.
It is now impossible to get one for less that 30k euros.
Some asking price is around high 30k in Europe now.
I keep saying, “Go for a Grey one”...

Every single person who bought a 5167a in the grey market probably felt sick at the spread they paid over retail when they bought it.

And I bet every one of those people are now not worrying about the premium they paid, and are sitting on a tidy profit.

If you have no buying history with an AD and the first watch you want to buy from them is a SS Aquanaut, it will be a LONG LONG wait if they even consider you at all. You will either have to buy another piece or have a very good relationship with the other brands for you to even be considered.

Even without a profit, if you've paid over retail you probably really love the watch and are not going to sell or worry about prices, I'd hope.

Same here was told it was poor mans patek. I paid just under $15k for it a few years back. It was a 5167 on the bracelet that also came with the rubber and clasp. I have a nautilus as well but wear the 5167 more often.

I got big discount on it back in 2012. Then bought the bracelet and half link with a massive discount. Almost 50% off because everyone hated the bracelet. I’d never buy the watch at current prices. In fact I’m contemplating on selling it on to upgrade to a complication. Sod what’s trending. Trends come and go.
