Swing and A Miss............

Was finishing up another TST skx mod today and couldn't decide on which handset to use out of the small cadre of examples I've accumulated over the years. And danged if I didn't scratch the dial that was just delivered yesterday while removing the hands for the 4th time.

It happens, ordered another dial today. Seiko mods don't dig into the wallet too deep. On the bright side, I'm absolutely thrilled w/ the Strapcode Rollerball. Really adds a retro vibe and reminds me of original Seiko bracelets of similar design I've owned. This thing's built like a tank and very comfortable.

Should have the Bluefin Tuna done by next week. Until then, a sneak preview.

Wow that looks awesome! I've been meaning to get into the Seiko mod hobby and wondering what's a good place to start. Is it the Seiko 5 that's the base model from which all this coolness happens?

Rollball is a killer bracelet Superior construction. Stole StrapCodes example of the Nemo wearing one. Saw it and had to have it. Love it. I'm a sucker for the vintage rally bracelets on my vintage Seikos.

Sorry about your dial. Sick mod though, per usual

Can’t wait to see the finished result Dan.

Been looking at Strapcode lately myself, but I just can’t bring my self to set aside the rattly jubilee that comes a stock

A little fashion forward for me but appreciate the finishing. Seamless look into the case.

Last night, I ordered an oyster from Strapcode for my 009. I look forward to getting it in.

I believe that is a RollBall bracelet not 'Rollerball' and love the 'rally look!

The skx & srp [Turtles] series have tons of mod options.

Brian, hard to beat the vintage charm of the OEM jubilee.

Rob, I was thinking more fashion backward, but I get your point. Post pics when you get your bracelet.

Here are a few funky vintage Seiko bracelets I've owned over the years. The Strapcode Razor & Rollball bring back the vintage aesthetic with modern solid construction.

Strapcode’s Rollball and Uncel Seiko’s Razorwire. Both great bracelets.

Received the bracelet today, Dan. Unfortunately, they sent me the PVD version. Ultimately, I’m not gonna order another one. I’m disappointed in the clasp. What I got was not accurately represented on the website. Pictures below:

The same paper thin, stamped metal clasp as the original SKX.

What would you recommend I order in the sub $100 range?

You can order various clasps on their bracelets. Mine is milled and more substantial than yours. If they got the finish wrong, maybe they got the clasp wrong as well.

Thanks, Vincent!

Yeah, when I saw a Pepsi sapphire insert I couldn't turn it down. Finding a properly matching dial [especially since I'm colorblind, but my wife helped] was crucial.
