5196p
Just want to get some opinions on this model. I think it’s a beautiful piece and you don’t see them come by often. Have been looking for a preowned piece and it seems the secondary market price has gone up recently.

Great watch you cannot go wrong with. Prices may soften if a new release comes out with a larger updated movement with display back.

One of my favorite Calatravas. The contrast of textures on the dial + Breguet numerals really makes the P stand out from the pack.

The seconds subdial is too high for for my liking on the "p" model, likely accentuated by the ring around the dial and the numerals The "g" version hides this a bit better.

Dial to die for, movement eh, but fortunately you don't see it on that reference. Class on your wrist.

Really great watch, bad thing is price getting a hit in secondary market.

The 5196P is a great watch, I love mine. Also, T. Stern described the 5196 as "Le Grande Classique" in a past Patek Magazine issue.

Really nice looking watch. I've seen pics of one one a royal blue strap that looked really nice.

Lovely piece but the seconds subdial does not help. The P might well look better without subdial as there is enough going on with the Breguets and dial colors. In the other metals I like the presence of the subdial but I'd likely go 5096J over 5196J. Not a fan of upsizing watches for the sake of upsizing alone.

I have seen a few of these in the metal and absolutely love it. The Breguet numerals are what really does it for me. White metal and put it on a beige suede strap with a display back. Perfection.

The dial is incredible, but I cannot get over the fact that the movement is much too small for the case, which is a reason the seconds subdial is where it is.

I love that the seconds subdial does not cut into the "6".
