2 tone skydweller a hot model?

Hello. I’m ready to buy a 326933 two tone skydweller with a white dial, and I cannot find them in any of the ADs around me. Most dealers are telling me it’s a hot model now and they can’t be ordered. It’s pretty frustrating. I’m on Long Island. If anybody in the tri state area knows of an AD with one that will ship, i would appreciate some insight. I want to obtain this model before god knows what happens to its price. If it goes to 25k like the blue Stainless model, I will never be able to get it.

Do you have purchase history? I feel like they say any sport model is a hot model if you don't have purchase history.

I don’t. Only spot that had one in the display was tourneau but it was champagne.

The world wide inventory seems to be low, so everything is a hot model now. As inventory continues to drop all prices will go up. Just keep calling those AD's and see if they can keep your contact info, otherwise if you need to have one now, start negotiating with the secondary market dealers.

Believe it or not, not many on secondary either.

My UK AD only gets two or three TT Sky Dwellers a year but demand hasn't been that high. It took them two days to sell a TT black in February 2019, which is two days longer than it would have taken to sell a SS black. They had a TT champagne for a couple of weeks in mid 2019 before it sold. They offered it to me but I thought that the gold bezel and dial were too much for me. The next TT Sky Dweller they received was a white one which arrived in June this year, after the lock down consignment drought. The first person to view it bought it. Happily, it was me.

Subjectively and anecdotally, the supply of TT Sky Dwellers in my region seems to be about the same as SS. The difference is that the SS is massively popular with demand far outstripping supply and the TT seems to be a more niche choice. You won't be able to just walk into an AD on spec and be guaranteed that one is in the safe, but it's a watch you can realistically anticipate scoring from an AD before you die of old age.

For what it's worth (nothing) I think the TT Sky Dweller is a bit of a sleeper and it's likely to be more in demand as time goes on. Like the Blusey and the TT CHNR, more people are realising that buying FOMO hype is not as fulfilling in the longer term as owning something of real intrinsic value which you can actually see and feel (and weigh). Many knew this all along.

I was able to get one simply by putting my name on a list of a few ADs here in the Orlando FL area. Had it with in 3 months. That was earlier this year. I don't think they are 1 of the harder watches to find. The 326933 is 2 tone gold and around $18k+w/tax. Those all stainless steel ones are always the hardest to get, not the TT or all PM. Good luck

TT black dial is a little hotter than the white. White is gettable with a little work. I think the TT Sky Dweller is a really good looking watch and I am not a TT guy whatsoever.

I’ll keep trying. Tourneau took my info for a white dial. But than right after another AD told me they can’t take my name for that watch but they can take it for a bluesy.(I owned a bluesy and loved it and was thinking if all else fails go back to it, but I think that’s a waste at this point). The last AD I spoke with today said they cannot put me on a list. I guess I’ll just keep checking in with them all.

In my area ANY SkyDweller is rare/hot/not easy to get/unattainable/call it anything you want other than common. Had to go Non AD route for mine. Granted not a TT. SkyDweller is an amazing watch.

I walked into an AD here just about a month ago and they had the two-tone black dial in the case. I tried it on and, the second I saw it on my wrist, I said I'd take it. They're out there. You just have to have luck (or a purchase history) on your side I guess.

Should be attainable. Try Ilse at Tourneau Garden City and Angelo at London Jewelers. Good luck!

You are suffering from a stout case of FOMO on a reference that doesn't specifically warrant it.

Yes, it is a popular reference as ALL Rolex classic and sports references are desirable, but it is not in the echelon that would see price appreciation like you are anticipating.

No it's not a very popular model. But all the popular ones are sold out so now two tone has its moment in the sun for the probably older gen who can afford and like TT.

Originally I wanted champagne. It pictures amazing. But in person I thought the white looked so much better. I think the white actually makes the bezel stand out more. The champagne kind of overwhelms me. Either way they are both awesome!

everything is a hot model now, even vintage midsize has seen significant increases over the past year. idk what happened but seems like everything went up 50-100% in price overnight.
