Is This Possible? - Accuracy Test
During a 30 day accuracy test, my blue sub kept perfect time. Right on the money. No gains/No losses.

Actually, quite impressive. Maybe more luck than anything else though.
These are mechanical devices. Dare I say incapable of precise time keeping at this level for a month? I'd say that your watch deviates at least a .5 secs per day. That .5 secs ahead may be negated by the same amount lost at night. Quite possible you've gained or lost 10 secs during the month and, on average, recovered it. If it's not too much trouble, set it precisely off the atomic clock and check it randomly during the next week. You might also see if the position that you rest it at night has an impact on it's accuracy. Of course, you could just keep doing whatever you're doing. |

mine's about 5 second fast and i last checked it a month ago. but i think it may be a function of the way i put it down at night.

I agree; probably a lot of luck involved.

They will usually gain or loose depending on the position they are in. Try setting it on the dresser over night in one position and the next in another and you'll see minor changes.

Actually I experienced the same with my new GMT II. It is a bit of an oddity because they usually gain on my wrist and loose on a winder or sitting on my dresser overnight. So it has to be almost a perfect balance between when it's on my wrist and when it's off.
Does that make any sense? LOL =) maverick |
