Searching for first Rolex
I used to think a Rolex was too much of a status symbol for me to ever want one. I love the idea of a fine timepiece, but something about the hype turned me off a bit. I'm now in a position to actually afford something more than my well-loved Seiko diver, but every time I get to the point of seriously considering one (like the Nomos Orion), I can't get past the feeling of "but it's not a Rolex". So... I'm thinking I might spring for a 116000 with black 3-6-9 disk. (I have relatives in Japan, so I don't think that would be an impossible task). I welcome any thoughts or comments from those who have been where I am. Regards.

i'm not familiar with the reference you mentioned but definitely take time to research all the watches, try them on, and just get the one that speaks to you. one threshold question is whether you want to buy new or used or vintage. |
