Ceramic in its base form

Ever wondered where ceramic came from? This here mess is ball clay, which is used in the making of ceramics. And that wrist belongs to your friendly neighbourhood Ruudman, who was in the lab for four days analysing a couple of hundred kilos of the stuff.

I'm still half traumatised by the fact I was doing dirty work wearing my LVc!

Nice, and thanks for sharing. I've always wondered and hope you don't mind me asking... but what do you do?

Btw... did you start a "Can I wear my Sub to check on clay" thread? What was the advise?

Bowl or vase?

Did you have any trouble with the fines getting into the bracelet?

Marine consultant, Won. I never thought to ask if it was safe and it was kind of a rush job so didn't have time to start a thread The samples were supposed to arrive last week but got held up in customs and then we got the call Saturday morning to say they were arriving at the lab within the hour, so I had to get a move on

I managed to keep all the goo south of my wrist, so no worries. I bottled it Sunday and wore my G-Shock but then had the Sub back on Monday and my BLNR yesterday

Dont forget to use a bit magnetron cathode sputtering to make the ceramic more durable..

Cheers for sharing, bud. Always fascinating to lurk here and see what folks do for work I've been trying to figure out what Jocke and MonBK do besides posting on TRF

Very interesting, Ruud. That's a l o t of mud you had to inspect.
I would have been worried about the time piece, too. But, hey, they are tool buddies on the job, too.

Cheers, don't work too hard playing in those sandboxes....
