My collection used to be mostly cordovan, but I am paring back and will probably only keep 3 pairs. I need more calf.

Blue blazer and panama hat?

It's specialized look. I'm not sure I could pull it off, but I've seen gents that looked pretty sharp.

In my defense, shell does have a really big following so it's hard not to get sucked in.

I still think it's a great and really interesting leather, don't get me wrong, but as they say, diversity is the spice of life.

I have the same problem with museum calf. It calls to me.

How many of you are into shoes... (Dress Shoes)?

Have not worn these in a while. 20 year old Cole Haan Italian made Bragano. Back when Cole Haan made a pretty good shoe.

Those look great. I always wanted a pair of woven loafers like yours, but I've come to the conclusion that loafers just don't work for my feet. Oh well, I can still look and enjoy.

Just got these Alden's in. Love them. Very comfy and great style!

Matches quite well with a Jean Rousseau strap that I have on my watch.

Very nice! Those looks to be the longwing version of mine; love 'em. Excellent taste!

Speaking of longwings... I literally just found two pairs of my grandfather's Florsheims. A pair of Color 4 Shells and a pair of black calf skins, both longwing Royal Imperial models. Spent a day restoring them. And, in pure serendipity, they fit! Talk about a find!! The Shells are from 57 and the black leathers are from 58, but both now look new, especially the Shells; can't tell the 60 year old pair from my 1-2 year old Alden's.
