Porsche guys and car guys give me your opinion......

So yesterday I turned a build sheet for a 718 Porsche Boxster AND am beyond excited!! I recently sold my Panamera and bought a Toyota Tundra as my DD, and making room for something really fun. That would be the 718. The car will be delivered in October. ONE problem- I'm absolutely torn down the middle about the exterior color. Black OR Sapphire Blue? My last 7 cars have been black including my 911 and Panamera. I've always loved black on cars and really like it on the Boxster as well BUT this sapphire blue is killing me. It's so different from anything I've owned before. So, here are some pics of the two colors im considering with the exact wheels I'm getting. Please share your opinions and comments bc I'm 50/50 and I have three weeks until my choices are locked,. Thanks in advance!!!

I'm a blue lover. I have a blue pickup, blue Boxster, mostly blue shirts, a BLNR, etc. But I'm not a fan of the Sapphire Blue. I've seen it in person on Boxsters, Caymans, 911s and Macans. Just not a fan, so I'd say stay with black.

Black on black is pretty nice, but it is your (expensive) toy, so for the money, you need to get what YOU want. Go find one to see in person before your order locks and then make the decision.

Panamera to Tundra?

I've made moves like that. Every time it was a mistake. Even with a fun weekender.

It cost me a few bucks to rectify. I hope it's a bit smoother of a transition for you. I doubt it tho.

In regards to color, black...easy. Without question.

Between those two, black for me. For sure.

I would have a hard time choosing between silver and black.

Are you getting rid of the truck to get this? Or just adding this?

Black between your two choices. It really brings out the lines in the car

prefer like a midnight blue, rather than that sapphire.

Of the two choices I would pick the black with the red interior. Hands down to me a better looking vehicle than the blue shown. If I was to look at a different color it would be the classic Porsche Silver with the red interior.

Blue attracts more attention than black IMO if that matters.

For a roaster, my personal pick would be GT silver on red/ black interior with platinum wheels.

Man that blue pops !! Looks exactly like a color they had 25 years ago called Cobalt Blue.

A word of caution on black painted alloy wheels. Depending on the quality of the job from the manufacturer, rock chipping could become very visible. You don't notice it on silver painted or natural metal wheels obviously.

I'd go black, the pics you show the blue seems to lose the wow factor that the black Has.

Between those two colours black is the one but not with a red interior.

My wife's S is yellow and you certainly see it coming.

Easy, black. SBM is one of my least favorite colors.

Between the two, black for me- understated and elegant, love just the touch of red with the brake calipers.

Black. No doubt. It just looks a hell of a lot meaner.

I actually think the sapphire blue is quite stunning. Black Boxters are ubiquitous. Of course, I'm not one for being too understated when it comes to Porsche colors...

I had two goals- fly a little more under the radar with clients (have to remember I live in Louisiana) AND get something really sporty for the wknd and away from work. Owning two Porsches would really be pushing it financially. I've always liked the way a truck feels and I'm buying a boat in the near future so that's another reason.

I'm a bit surprised by the overwhelming preference of black. That's always been my lean and that's the choice I currently have the build at. My only concern is I'd tire of the blue as someone stated earlier. Thx for all the comments!!!

Black of the two. But my colors would be white, dark blue or Silver. Exciting, good luck!

Have you thought of Euro delivery? It's one of the best experiences I've had.
