Go with the Blue. It is a weekend car, so a little color is perfect! I just turned in my build sheet for a 718 Cayman and went with the Graphite Blue Metallic

HA. And what did you end up with?

I flipped a RRS for a GC SRT. Loved it, but it lasted just about as long as it took to get the title in the mail. Once I had it, I flipped for a BMW X5 M Sport. Lowered suspension, fast as can be, and looks aggressive. Yet still a BMW so most people don't think twice because they are so very common.

My wife too thinks I am crazy.

And I just test drove an actual X5M. But that is a story for another thread.

I had a first generation X5 the first year 2000 loved that car they've come a long way since then right now I have GLC 300 I'm keeping that thru the end of the year then ordering the AMG 43 version I have no idea what was going thru my head when I bought the Jeep lol my is calling it early onset senility

Oh BTW I'm going to order the AMG in the same color combo I have now so my wife won't know I got a new car

All black is beautiful. I too had the Panamera and traded it for the 911 (991). Nothing like a Porsche! I have the all white and black Cabriolet.

Black. You know it's black, right?
It's ALWAYS black. I had a blue 991S.
Wished it was black.
Black.

I loved my Corvette and yes a car with 760 rwhp is fun but gotta have a truck. I've always loved the 911s and the turbos are awesome I just don't think I'd ever buy one though. I couldn't turn down a new z06 or ZR1

Graphite Blue is my favorite of the current standard colors. I was on the fence on ordering a Cayman 718S in that color, but ended up with a GT4. What interior did you go with? I like that chalk/graphite cloth interior in the pics I've seen, but I haven't seen it in person. Are you over on the Planet 9 Cayman forum?

Honestly, that car looks better in black. I'd consider silver over that shade of blue.

I had a Panamera in blue. I forgot which shade, but it looked similar to that picture. It was stunning. I got more compliments on that car than anything else I've owned before of since, and that includes a multitude of 911s, Corvettes, BMWs, Jaguar, etc.

Black is great looking, but everyone has a black car it seems. So, ordinary. <yawn>

I am a Planet 9 lurker. I have yet to create an account and post anything.

I have seen the chalk/graphite in person at two different dealers. I can confirm that it looks amazing. Easily my favorite interior, but the Agate Grey is a close second. The chalk/graphite just matches the Graphite Blue perfectly. However, I was trying to stay under a specific budget number, so I went with the Agate Grey. Porsche options are expensive and I promised my wife I would go too crazy with all the add-ons.

Where are you located? Hennessy Porsche in ATL has a 718S - graphite blue with the chalk/graphite interior.

Are you talking about the paint to sample cost?

Seems to me that if you're buying to hold, the difference is minuscule compared to the total price of the car plus enjoyment of the color much more..

I wouldn't have a black car ever, same as I wouldn't have black rims either. Black is not a colour to me, so I would have to go with the blue.

Very sharp cars gents! I agree Wes, love your combo of dark navy blue with a tan interior, nice combo!

I had a black 911 ('89). Beautiful when cleaned and Zymoled, but very, very hard to keep looking good. I wouldn't do it again, but since you've had a number of 'em, you obviously don't mind caring for 'em.

I love the Graphite Blue Metallic, or the previous poster with a Mexico Blue (or similar). Not as fond of the bright blue you were considering with the black. I suppose with the time since this thread was created, you probably locked into a build by now. What did you choose?

FWIW, I have a white 991 with a blue top and absolutely love it. And no swirl issues!
