Never had that done on any of the 6 Rolex’s I have brought in the last 14 months.
Should add not all were for me and paid for by others but I handled the actual transaction from the AD.

Regardless of AD talk, the OP has got himself an excellent watch and I love wearing mine. Prefer it over my Hulk

One thing I’ve learnt over the years about most sales staff at AD’s, is not to take much notice of what they tell you about Rolex rules!

Great watch Enjoy

That's weird I bought my first Rolex from Watchfinder, a Deepsea and that didn't have anyones name on the card just the dealer stamp from London AD

Same for my BLNR that I bought from AD stamped and dated but didn't write my name on the warranty card/papers

The AD may have taken a photograph of the warranty card using a corporate ipad (this is what I have seen Fraser Hart do) or a photocopy when taking the warranty card and box into the back (Goldsmiths do this). If its a smaller AD they may have a different policy / other means to record details of who the watch is being sold to.

This may have been pre 2017 - I never used to have my name written on the warranty card but this seems to be mandatory now.

Hulk isn’t going anywhere sorry, I may prefer the BLNR over it but it’s stkll a beautiful watch.

I have brought from Goldsmiths, Watches of Switzerlan & independent AD’s. None have taken a photo of my warranty card in front of me nor have they taken the card away from me.
Sorry OP hojacked your thread abit!

No bother.

A slice of self-indulgence aside, this thread was created to share information.
