The Lv is only difficult to get in certain parts of the world.

I would personally and did actually. But for 3 grand... That would be a pass.

I have both and the LV definitely feels more 'special' and I agree that black ones seem to be everywhere. It's tends to be a lot of peoples first Rolex

I remember similar conversations regarding the Kermit with lots of people saying they are not worth the extra money. Look what's happened there!

After tomorrow, the prices and hype will either cool off or get worse depending on whether it remains in production

Sorry for being unclear. Installment isnt from dealer. It is from my local bank. They have a program a free installment up to 6 months with zero % interest when you purchase something more than usd250

As long as I remember for these 5 years, Rolex never really disappointed in term of value. Once it goes up beyond MSRP, it wont go down. Please correcr me if im wrong

go for it, though the 3k seems much to add... just look for a good deal.

I'd do it. Life is short...if you can afford it then go for it and enjoy it. there's a reason why the premium for it is so high...and same for its predecessor

Just get the LV. Life is short. Enjoy it. Smile at it when you look at it and stop worrying so much about the value. You might win A few bucks or loose a few bucks but at the end of it all it will stay here on earth. Enjoy it now that you can.

You said you are 50 50 between the two so I think you are falling for the hype so I'd stay with black until you are 70 30 at least.

I’d go with others opinions that a $3k difference is nuts! Again, no one can predict the future, but if you’re looking at value than the LV should hold it better. Ultimately, which do you prefer!?

I wouldn't make a decision based on a watch that's been pushed to the air on hype, get on a list or wait a bit. You have a fantastic watch, no need to rush on a LVc, that are still been made and still been shipped by Rolex.

The LVc is a special watch. Is it worth $3,000 more than a regular Sub Date? I don’t think so, but it without question will be far more rare once they are both discontinued.

You're crazy.

The Sub C LN is a beautiful watch; they are "common" because they are awesome.

Now you really have to like green to get the LV.

If you like it go for it but 3k is just a lot of money - it's another watch.

I have a flipper mentality and have had the Hulk twice (I sold mine just before the hype kicked in) and IMO it's a watch that does lose it's lustre after a while. I think 3k to make that swap isn't worth it in my opinion. If it was 1k then I would say do it but 3k is just too much.

Thank you all for all the feedback. Conclusion here is basically everyone telling me im crazy flip and put another usd3k for Hulk. Im on the middle of connecting flight to Japan and after thinking about all of you guys said, I think I wont flip my LN over LV. I left my LN at home (he will be saved from flipping) haha

Now what I need to do is once again trying LV in Japan, if it seems that my love for LV is indeed real, i will try to keep them both as long as I can to prove which one has more love from me

I

Indeed, the price difference for a brand new LN vs LVc here is around SGD 3k (and rising) at most grey dealers. It's almost impossible to obtain either one from the ADs here.

The price difference between LVc (Hulk) and LV (Kermit) is also staggering. Just saw one New Old Stock (with stickers and all papers) on a 2004 model priced at S$21k vs S$15-17k for a BNIB Hulk.

Hopefully, the hype will die down slightly after tomorrow.

Decision

Thank you for all of you guys here. You guys were basically saying that trade LN over LV is a crazy choice.

In the end I pull the trigger to buy LV and keep the LN. Dont ask me how much did I get it, because you guys would once again call me crazy that Im willing to pay that amount of money.

But honestly, money does not matter when you finally end up with happiness. Both are amazing watches.

Can not believe the true color of LV is rather dark. Some of my friend even did not realize that I wear LV because they get used to seeing me wearing LN.

I'm happy until the credit card bill coming through my email in a few days. Haha..

But, this pain will be forever long gone a few days after paying though. Cheers

No way. If you want a LVc, save a little money and give it time. They will be available in the upcoming months. More are starting to hit the AD's in the USA. Wait it out and save yourself some $$$.

In Asia, unless you are a VIP customer, it is very very unlikely you will ever get a chance to buy the hot models at retail prices. Unless of course you are lucky and encountered an AD which does not have any lists (first come first serve) or get it at an airport AD (SIN, BKK, HKG, NRT, HND, or ICN).

I also saw a grey dealer having a new Hulk at S$17k (around USD13k) today and that piece was already reserved! It’s the highest price I ever see for a brand new Hulk model!
