Omega is sending me and the lady out to Utah to check out the new Basel releases. Car service from the house, first class flights, St Regis hotel.

I’m a lucky guy. First few picks. We just landed. A totally sick fat lady was on flight next to me.

The owner was a machine, literally worked the entire time. Managed to ask him for a picture, but did t want to disturb. A terrible picture. But an incredible watch. In great shape, from 82 apparently.

Ok. So this thing is totally sick.

I just found out that there are only about 30 of us. And a ton of Omega staff. Tons of big time brass here.

We get to provide feedback and ask questions of some of the top guys and gals in the US.

Tomorrow we meet with our own personal product specialist.

I’ll see the new Basel releases tonight and get to meet with a private product specialist tomorrow.

We do have the opportunity to buy watches if we want. Sadly, not the new releases. So I’d say it’s unlikely I’ll go home with anything. But you never can quite tell with me.

The first viewing and a meet and greet starts in an hour. Time to get get ready.

My wife took most of the pics because they literally put us right next to Arnaud Michon, the CEO of Omega USA. No joke. He was at the head, I was sitting to his left.

Watch lovers dream tonight. I got so much insight. And just had a great chat with a fellow watch enthusiast.

I also found some of the new releases to be stunning in person. One specifically will most certainly be mine. It’ll likely not be a big “hit”. But it appears to me that the big hits aren’t their goal. They are just making a lot of good watches. And while they don’t fly off the shelves, and you can actually get them. Which is nice.

Guys and gals, tonight was one of the best nights I’ve lived. Lucky doesn’t begin to describe how I feel.
