congrats Dave - great choice!

i dont think there can ever be a "wrong" choice when buying a Rolex.

everyone is a winner imo

good choice. im actually debating on what to get too... Pre-owned though.

May i ask, why did you pick the GMT Master II?

You can get a pre-owned gmt cheaper then a pre-owned sub. Thats my debate... probably end up with a sub.

Excellent Choice, as said prior you just can't go wrong as long as it is a Rolex.

in that case DJ II

possibly looks different from Sub... Nothing wrong with Sub but it 's too common and too many fakes around

You could always get a sub 2 tone with blue face and kill two birds with one stone.

I am considering selling my old sub for a new sub. I saw someone with it on their wrist... it is quite stunning...

Great choice!! I have the same watch AND a SS Datejust II with white gold bezel and blue concentric arabics. The DJII is an impressive watch (seems to be the preferred Rolex of Roger Federer), but I am always careful to wear it with long sleeve dress shirts only because I am always afraid of damaging the soft white gold bezel.

No such worries with a GMTIIc. Very versitile! The Sub c would have been my recommendation because of the care factor.

I'd go for the new Sub. The new DJ should have been 39mm instead of 41mm,then it would have been perfect.

SubC would be my choice but the GMT2 is a stunner too - just never took to it on my wrist.

Well, the GMT IIc stainless steel was my first Rolex too...congratulations!! It looks great and keeps super-excellent time. Enjoy!!
PS: Once you've enjoyed this watch for awhile, you'll want another one since the superb Rolex quality is addictive.

I've only seen a few pictures of the DJ II. But I still say my choice would have to be the Submariner with the glidelock bracelet. It's awesome..
