Was this reported and was the request as crass as I'm imagining?

The Mods have a clear mandate to get rid of the creeps.

Wow! I just got back from lunch and it looks like I started quite a buzz.

1. If I see someone getting cyber bullied again, I'll do the same exact thing if the Mods don't step up to the plate. Perhaps in a less invasive way then the last time, I am sorry for stepping on people's threads, but be assured, I will step forward. Luckily for me I have quite an active life outside of the internet, so much so that I have to find time to even get on here, so no big deal if I'm booted for standing up for people here who easily intimidated.
2. This place has definitely changed. Quite a few people left here around a year ago that I do miss who I thought were very interesting people. A couple of the Mods know exactly who I'm talking about.
3. Any more there is only a handful of members here I would consider breaking bread, too many inflated egos here anymore.

Thats my 2 cents for what it is worth.

This is, unfortunately, a symptom of the cyberculture where prepubescent boys can pretend they're grown up, or those with latent ideas and tendencies can let-it-all-hang-out. Such remarks also seem to cascade through the other immature members of almost any Forum where a half dozen can seem like the entire forum has that bent..

We will, and do, come down hard on direct attacks, stalkers, or outright malcontents... However, there is a very thin line that separates them....

I didn't report it Paul, and for that, I was wrong. I understand that the mods can't solve a problem they don't know about. I felt like it was done in a funny, banter-type way, and I would have probably gotten the "oh we're all just messing around." Putting a or a after something doesn't always make it nice.
The posts themselves don't really bother me, it's more that, after time, it creates an atmosphere which can become uncomfortable. I'm no good at explaining

I agree.

Perhaps it's time for you to set up your own forum and take a bunch of members from here.

The other crowd can also set up their own forum.

Either way, begone.

After reading each post in this tread, I find it disturbing that people can be so thin skined by things that are posted. I REALLY hope people's lives don't hinge on each accolade given to them on a forum to feel better about themself, and feel dejected if people show their "true colors" by not being cordial or downright rude.

Despite the fact we are all adults here, not all will act like it. That's life... I've learned to deal with it LONG ago!!

I take things here with a grain of salt. Maybe some people need to let go of their mouse for a while and go outside. It's summer, enjoy it!!

How come crazy guys don't ask me for pictures? I am starting to feel left out.

Not making fun of you JButler, but seriously, maybe I am too mean or something? I haven't had the problem you are speaking of, but should I have that issue, I would certainly tell one of the mods. Send them the PM and they will take care of it. They will not let someone stalk you or harrass you if you let them know. At least not from what I have seen.

Will it make it better if I say that you are my favourite redhead on TRF?

To be honest, after it happened, I took a hiatus, erased my avatar, and ignored the PMs. Should I have had to do that? Probably not. Was it a big deal? No. Even to me, it sounds a bit whiny to complain and say these guys wanted bigger pictures of me, or (for one special member) he repeatedly asked me to love him. I mean really, WTF is that? Anyway... goes back to the atmosphere thing. Just little things adding up.

But, after what I've seen in this thread, for some members it simply appears to be a much larger and deeper issue. And if that's the case, those members should be given the same opportunity to feel comfortable and at home around here like everyone else does.

Interesting, if you saw a person getting mugged on the street with police standing around doing nothing, would you walk away and act like nothing happened or would you do something?

This could be a very interesting insight to this forum.

There are DEFINITELY some weird creepy men here!

Jbutler isn't the only woman who has been sent strange PMs, and who has been requested to post photos of herself....the same has happened to me In fact I've made a point of NOT posting my photo around here as I just don't feel comfortable doing so.

Anyway, I'm heading back to the general forum to talk about WATCHES!!!!!

I know we're focusing on the jerks in this thread.....but I do want to acknowledge that there are some fine gentlemen members here too and ones I'm proud to be friends with!

I think he's as serious as a heart attack. That's part of the underlying problem with some folks here.
