I think I found my first Panerai

The new Panerai 1313 ticks all the boxes for me. The sandwich dial, 44mm, 300m water resistance, no fake patina, and that beautiful sunburst blue dial! Is there anything not to like about this new release? And the price point isn’t terrible either, imo

Not my pic but for reference

Agreed, great choice. It strangely is hard for Panerai to get things right, but they really did with this one.

That's a nice looker... the panerai bug has been nipping at me for awhile. After being confused with all of the models I keep going back to this one, similar in specs however I really want the bracelet. Not sure of which size would work better on my 7" wrist, 42mm (722) or 44mm (723) thats the next thought as it seems most folks like theirs on the larger size.

I love this on a strap. Panerais look off to me on a metal bracelet for some reason

I just bought this watch this week and made a post about it. It's my first Panerai! Loving it so far!

On a 7" wrist you definitely should go for 44mm, if not 47mm. It's a Panerai after all, and I mostly wear 47mm on a 6.8" wrist.

Re original poster, the 1313 is a beaut. As is the 1033. They both post-date my own blue selection so aren't on my shopping list, but if I didn't have a 670 and 690 they would be well up there. I did also have a 932 but prefer the 690.

Thanks. ASW1 44mm seems to make sense. My largest piece is a Rolex Expll at 42mm thats why I was thinking of a 42 in a Pam. I guess the lug to lug length span is shorter on Panerai. I need to hit the AD to try a few on and talk price, they ae also a Rolex boutique who I bought a Sub from, also carry Tudor and IWC, hoping they will be aggressive with a discount if I order and pre pay.

You need nothing beyond that EOT. What a fantastic watch!

Do Pams on a bracelet wear larger than on a strap across the wrist? I'm thinking of a bracelet, model 722 or 723

I understand this sentiment. I think it is the case shape. The edges of the case need to be a bit sharper to look "correct" on a bracelet. Rubber and leather work much better with the design.

I really like your choice and agree with you on the blue dial. I too have been exploring the brand (online only, closest dealer 5 hours away) for a possible addition and the 986 has my attention. Curious as to how thick and heavy these versions of the 1950 with the newer movements are.
