AD Inventory schedule

Evening All,

This question is for all the MSRP collectors out there. Does anyone know when do AD get their inventory? Every other week?? Middle of the week?? Just want to get a sense on when is a good time to reach out the AD. (Don’t want to be too annoying)

Oh…. Is there an app for the rolexforums?

Thanks,

Big market here. Once a week. Same day of the week except around the year end when shipments stop for awhile.

They gets dozens of watches per week. They get a dozen or so BLNR and BLRO GMTs each month (combined). A dozen or so SS Daytonas each year in each color.

Some of the low quantity watches would surprise you. White Explorer 2 for example maybe 3 per year.

Depends on the AD - but there is usually a shipment every week. Could be one watch, could be three, could be none.

And there is an app, search “Tapatalk.”

Low quality watches? What’s the difference in quality?

Going to try my luck on two different AD tomorrow. I know one of them won’t even bother to give me service and one of them I could get luck ( purchased a couple from that location)

My AD has been fairly honest with me and said they get 25-30 GMT IIs per year. They wouldn't be so hard to get if what you wrote is true.

I guess it’s just the matter if they willing to sell them to you.

They are only hard to get because they won't sell them to you. They use them as bait to extract more money before that payoff. They are popular but not rare.

Pretty sure my high volume gets weekly shipments this year, used to be bi-weekly. And it may be pure coincidence but I believe they get them on Thursdays. I got The Call on all three watches I waited for on Thursdays.

Once a week but really depends on your AD and where and whether it’s mom/pop or bigger corporate AD

Regardless, what’s the point of knowing the delivery schedule. If they’re not calling you to pick up a specific model when stock comes in there’s probably a reason (like servicing other clients first).

Depends on the AD, this is absolutely not set in stone as you appear to be stating.

Usually same time with such a big machine. If there's variance, my experience has been because head office might be deciding what to send where in a multi store chain scenario.

Also, for what it's worth, if you are legitmately on the radar for the store to try and delivery a piece, they know on average how frequently things like Sub LV, BLNR etc are coming in. Again, on average give or take 1-2 months of randomness, so if you are somewhat VIP enough they can usually guess how long the wait will be before Rolex sends them enough inventory. If they aren't telling you, sadly you are probably not an important enough customer yet and it does not matter when and what is in the periodic supply shipment.

Best of luck in the collection building!

Depends on the AD but they generally get shipments every week. I’ve had the best luck acquiring at msrp as the end of the month when they need to offload some stock.

As stated in my post #2 I'm in a big market. I'm referring to my AD only. There is absolutely no correlation to "your" AD. Most are far smaller than mine. You are quoting a reply to a reply which lost that context.
