You're right - I was staring at the stamp on the dial, which has the "." - this looks just sloppy.

Not sure if that is future purchase only or past purchases also qualify.
heard something similar via a friend who was able to get some intel at PP recently

$2M+ at Tiffany && $2M+ at PP to even throw hat in the ring...but we know there are whales that blow all those numbers out the water

This is most likely true. There is an application process for buying a PP.

The whole watch complete wTiffany stamp is about 600. It is in fact scary how close it is.

Great, so now you can wear an authentic fake 5711 Tiffany, and get your arm chopped off because people think you're walking around flashing a $6.5M watch that they can flip as an investment.

I'm sure those same folks would chop off your arm for a plain old white dial 5711/1a, no need to be sporting the T-Blue. In fact, if you were wearing the T-Blue, most astute watch thieves with machetes would probably assume it's a cheap knock off and leave you alone.

This is the best watch story, ever. Truth has flown out the window and now it's just a group of self involved wealthies promoting a product with thinly veiled falsehoods and trying to maintain the fiction of the charity auction that sold a special Tiffany Patek for $6 million. The Sisyphean task of keeping this story rolling uphill has turned Tragedy into Comedy.
Arnault, Stern, the aptly named, Clymer and this new character, take a bow. What a performance!

Access is what he is after….all those other Tiffany dials that he now has the ability to purchase. To sum it up, he could buy all Tiffany dial versions of Nautilus, Aquanauts, and even Calatravas and still be ahead due to the premium placed on Tiffany dial watches. As a big spender, he has basically leap frogged over everyone on the wait list at Tiffany… well played!!

I'm happy for Zach. He wears his watches regularly, irrespective of price. Better than going to another collector who is not so visible and may just keep the watch in the safe before selling it on at a later date.

This, he pretty much has free access to any Tiffany and Patek product and information.

That would be normally a 10 million spend to jump to the top of each company's respective lists. He only paid 6 million to "help" them from an embarrassing situation.

I say he got a bargin deal.

If I framed it from a different perspective, how much do you think he can make over the next 5 years with the privileged access he now has with Tiffany and Patek.

This privilege would include information about potential releases, rights to buy early etc. If he plays his cards right, he can easily 2x his 6 million spent.

Still like the watch, but didn't like the auction idea in the first place. And now this. Wrong on so many levels.

What an awful assumption to make that he bought it with his Dad's money. Maybe the family money is from his mom's side

Patek lost the narrative to LVMH - Hodinkee (LVMH portco) talking about Tiffany (LVMH portco) hype watches and then doing the BA piece unique

Despite what Thierry says Patek wants, they’re moving in the exact opposite direction

The auction was a smart move by Tiffany to jack up the price. They will get at least $169 mil for the bundling imo

All I can say is the more I see this watch, the more I like it.

It would be a great daily wear.

My entire wardrobe would be modified to complement the Tiffany dial.
